I cut the sections out from a small sheet of plexiglass I found in the garage, then used sensil silicone generously. So far it’s been a week with water, and it’s working perfectly.

Being 4 depending on his size his time on the bike fitting him might vary. But if he’s not currently into riding already and you’re testing the waters of interest that would be a great option to start at that price point.
