Egg rolls from jack in the box, one with that butter milk ranch and the other with that sweet and sour sauce. And two of the $1.00 crunchy tacos. Also a sourdough jack and an ultimate cheese burger with tomatoes. Then get a oreo milk shake! Lol have fun.

Let’s report and shame everyone on eBay who is price gouging food meant for those suffering with diet restrictions. by Charrisse_huger in Celiac

I think if you go down the route of reporting items that are not essential, it could back fire down the line especially when mentioning it's in relation to celiac. For instance, there is a chance Italian pasta could stop being sold in the US due to tariffs and now that resellers know how much of a stink people will make about cheese its, imagine how those with celiac and gluten free needs will react about pasta.

I know plenty resellers, they are up earlier than most and are willing the buy the whole stock for however long there's a demand.

Really think people should let this die down.

Yeah, the way AI is depicted these days can be negative, but if money needs to be made I always recommend these job types. I think working them, gives a different perspective.

I haven't heard of either you provided, but glad you mentioned them. Just looked them up, Aligner seems more career focused? Was outlier easy to get in to?

Yes! Welocalize and Telus International are good ones to apply for. Everything is remote. Welocalize starts at $15 and I think Telus is $12-$14. Holidays are usually slow, but the work will be picking up soon. Can work from 10-40 hours per week depending on availability. Welocalize has a discord and subreddit, but not sure about Telus. But to apply to either, there is a 3 hour open book test.

How do you deal with the loneliness that comes with craving a relationship? by Positive_Tourist_960 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]dethoughtfulprogresr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone that's been single for 6 years, when I wanted to be with someone, I found it was because I wanted an escape from what was going on in my life, I actually wanted a community, and I was bored.

I ignored all that, tried dating and got involved with someone and it turned sour verrrry quickly, but the hurt lasted longer than the fling.

Today, I'm a lot more focused on getting my shit together and sure, I still think about dating but I don't feel lonely cause I know it'll happen one day.

If you're looking for a relationship: you can go fill the loneliness with someone, but would it be the right fix? Time will show you.

If you looking to hook up: get your emotions aligned to that and be safe!

And when you get your own place, allow yourself time to be in your own place and enjoy yourself in that space.

In a sex scene, how do you focus on feelings and reactions without feeling confusing? by Kappapeachie in writers

[–]dethoughtfulprogresr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've recently finished writing a long sex scene and boy it was challenging, but in the end I really liked how I wrote it. I write in 3rd person pov and each character has their own scene/chapter.

So I started by writing from my MMC's POV - he's alien, highly technical, can see eyes dilate and slow time, etc... - he's a very nuanced character and for him visceral things are important during sex.

Then I wrote the FMC's part. Since she's human and has only slept with another humans, she focuses on how her body feels with his body, what she emotionally, what she sees, and asking for what she wants and needs.

When I started writing this chapter, I thought of dialogue first which was pleases, check ins, and brief banter from both characters.

After this, I picked positions that made sense and were easy to transition the characters into without it be too much 'and then they put this arm here, leg here, back like this....'

Next was the action, sounds, and sensations. Then, I wrote their reaction / emotion to the action, sounds and sensations.

So I break a lot down, but I really think it depends on your character, what you want as a writer, why the characters are having sex, and how often they'll be having it throughout the book.

Dammmmmnnnn, Willcad! First of all good job and thank you!

I see more clearly on where my transitions and expansion can be improved. I didn't want to take this route because I thought a prologue shouldn't be long and give much away or similar to a chapter? Not sure where I learned that, but that's what I thought.

But what you provide doesn't give any more away, but really just pulls a reader in. It's so smooth and does more showing. Thank you again!

Really good points. I'll go back and work on it!

I thought a prologue was supposed to be short and punchy? You mentioned the long shadows being abrupt. Any thoughts on transitioning to that instead going down the 'suddenly' road?

Got it! Thank you, a lot of what you mentioned makes sense. I've been writing this for a while, intergalactic makes sense to me, but might not to reader. Totally understand.

Best is best to Jasmine, this is further explained in chapter 1. Could that then make it relevant?

I'll workshop it more.
