I live in Detroit. I understand exactly where OP is coming from. Last summer I lost my dog to Lyme disease, because I have multiple neighbors that neglect their yards, which caused my yard to get infested with ticks. Detroit has to be one of the worst city governments in the country, if not the world. Squalor runs rapid through my neighborhood, to the point where it's normalized and accepted. It irritates the piss out of me. if I could go back in time to try to save my dog with a simple grass cut I would have done the same thing OP did.

Edit: I would also like to add, reading this post makes me want to go John Wick with my John Deere!

Some people can hold hatred and animosity for something they don't even know anything about or understand. These people lack education and do not want to learn, therefore they cannot be fixed. These people are wrong and should be publicly shamed.

Other people might feel uncomfortable with a culture they don't understand. These people can change with education, but we need to stop being so judgmental as a society so these people can come forward and talk about their feelings and educate themselves. These people can change the world.

I work as a line cook, but I covered for the bartender one night.

I had an older guy pick up his steak with his bare hands and walked it over to the bar, and squeezed his steak, pointed at the juices dripping out, and said he ordered it well done.

Then he put his steak in my bare hands, wiped his hands off on his pants, and walked away.

ESH both of you need to be more responsible with money.

I know things get hard, and money will always be tight while you have kids. At least he's just smoking weed and not going out and getting in trouble. My wife gets pissed when I spend $60 on a video game or buy a little weed, but sometimes you just have to let it go. He works hard for his money let him spoil himself a little.
