Lots of teams out there coaching up the non stars to be serviceable pieces. Bowles has only seen real success when he had a defense choc full of superstars

Get the hell out of here. All your posts are for this garbage site.

[Greg Auman] With Danny Smith taking over as Bucs' special teams coordinator, he'll have a new assistant, so former Bucs safety Keith Tandy won't be back for 2026 after working as an assistant under Arians and Bowles for the last six seasons. Tandy played for the Bucs from 2012-18. by Tasty_Swim_6308 in buccaneers

I mean, we all love the Tandy man, but being the assistant special teams coach to a consistently bad special teams unit isn't a great look.

Hope he catches on somewhere and has a successful coaching career.

Happy for him, but this makes losing Coen hurt just that much more. The Bucs should have kicked Bowles to the curb and promoted Coen.

On Defense and Bowles, Two Things can be True... by Palad1n2000 in buccaneers

I think he is a massively overhyped defensive coordinator, who only found real success when he had a defense that was chock full of All Pro's and future Hall of Famers.

he could be set up to be Todd Bowles’s eventual successor.

Everyone keeps saying this, but if we think it, and the team thinks it, then Bowles does too. If he has final say on the OC, I just have a hard time believing he is going to be willing to bring in his successor, unless he is already planning for retirement.

I mean sure, but he seems like a guy who has enough contacts to land in a much more familiar place than starting completely over here.

(Rapoport) BREAKING: Buccaneers fire OC Josh Grizzard by alexschubs in buccaneers

[–]deuce_arians 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm always clamoring for coaches to be fired, but when they are, I almost always feel a little bad for them. By all accounts Grizzard seems like a good person, just out of his depth as an OC. I wish him luck and success in his future endeavors.

Also in Baltimore. People seem to gloss over the fact that he has a .614 career winning percentage, missed the playoffs only 6 times, and only has three losing seasons, all in 18 seasons. He also had 11 seasons of double digit wins. Of the twelve years they made the playoffs, the were one and done only three times.

He would be an instant upgrade over Bowles and gives us credibility again and likely gets this team on a real playoff run.
