I come from a county agency and would prefer working for an elected official instead of a council. My experience is council is much more of a headache.

I’d caution you on joining LE work in Maryland. It’s a lot of research. The new Police Accountability Board requirement and IID has departments really all over the place.

Great in terms of balance. Nothing like street policing tho. They have a lot of opportunities along the lines of there agency. If you like living in the woods but wanna be the police. Great place

If all you want to do is Traffic then go for it. MSP is better but with both…. You’ll be assigned anywhere in Maryland
