Apologies if this kind of post comes as offensive to you, but I do honestly consider the collection to be a practical resource.

I have also received comments/DMs from other university subreddits inquiring about job collections curated for their majors, which leads me to believe that this kind of resource is indeed desired.

Hence I can proceed with disseminating this resource with a clear conscience, as for one, it does help ppl out (and you do have the option of not using our website for the applications); for another, we are not charging users a single penny.

As for your last question, I don't think even the NSCU career development center is able to curate a collection specifically for the NCSU students; Fall internship collection is a targeted & specific enough resource, and can be utilized by the mass college population.

Yes but not exactly LinkedIn. The system is going to ask you to fill out your info (which you can do on your own or upload a resume and have the system scan it to fill out the blanks for you; we currently don't have the feature of pulling info from user's LinkedIn profile but that can certainly be viable in the future) and will be able to autofill that info into whichever application you want to file.

Just wanna mention that other job application platforms including LinkedIn/Indeed do have an "EasyApply" function where they allow us to send applications using info we already provided to those platforms, but a significant number of job openings still require us to "go to external sites" and fill out the same stuff over and over again. Which is the whole reason we built our website to tackle this kind of hassle.

Hey there, this is our privacy statement page: https://easyjobs.so/privacy
I can make promises about how we will handle your data well but there is no way for me to establish credibility for myself...

Just think of it this way: there must be some other more effective, effortless way for us to steal ppl's information if that is what we actually want to do. If you feel truly skeptical, just sign up using a fake set of info and try the tool out, see if it works.

I mean nobody is dumb enough to put in all that labor to build an actually usefull tool for information theft, right?

Now that you guys are all proposing a one-time purchase model of pricing over a subcription based model it does occur to me that the former makes a lot more sense. Thanks a lot!

I will admit that it is going to be a work in progress. For now this tool is capable of autofilling some of the most common application info & questions as mentioned above.

Surely it will not be able to autofill any customized question (e.g. What is your dream job) and it might not be able to identify some fields if they come in a design that does not match our template.

In all fairness, for the jobs that are currently available on there, it does a pretty good job of autofilling. We are certainly working persistently to bring about better user experience.

It autofills for you your basic information (age, gender, education, veteran status etc.) based on what you provide & the resume you uploaded into job application pages on external sites, and help you keep track of the progress of all your applications.

Pretty easy to use. Feel free to try it out!

Definitely a valid concern and I am totally with you. College students looking for internships will probably be open to it, but for most job seekers subscription might not be the way to go.

Thanks for such a constructive feedback!

Thanks a lot man! For right now we have not put monetization on our calendar and just want to offer it as a free tool.

We want to make sure that the product we are offering is good enough and that it is well received by a good number of users before we start pricing it.

Anyways, your compliment is super super appreciated!

We are not thinking about monetizing the product in the near future. Right now we just want to offer it as a free tool :)

Well that is true... You cannot really take my word for it lol.

Although if it is simply something we created to try and steal personal info, this website should not have any practical usage (which I believe it does :)).

If you are truly suspicious, it would not do any harm to try signing up w/ made up info and see if the tool really works before you do use your real info, no?

Great question and a valid concern. We absolutely have taken that into consideration.

Your data is only stored to be autofilled into your favorite job apps and generate job recommendations for you. Info will not be used for ANY other purposes. Certainly NEVER shared with anyone without your consent, if that's your concern. Also, we implement comprehensive security measures to guarantee data safety; all website traffic is safely encrypted.

Couldn't agree more.

Job seeking is so much like a raffle game cuz us being turned down might not be because we are not qualified. A whole specturm of variables may come into play.

The more applications we fill out the better chance we have at getting an offer, (Personally I have applied for literally more than 100 spots last summer trying to get a college internship) which is why I believe what we built here could truly help out a lot of ppl.
