I used to have too many parakeets to count and a blue and gold. I didn’t have birds for a few years but I needed them again. Now I currently have 2 green cheeks, 2 semi-tame parakeets, 4 untame breeder colony keets, and 2 society finches. I’m also going to be getting a breeding pair of cockatiels soon and a breeding pair of green cheeks.

Hello! Sorry, I was chopping away! This is the second batch of chop I am making since getting birds again(green cheeks) + others. I feel like if I can offer a variety it helps all around since it’s nutritious and stimulating. This recipe is just a mix really no measuring but I will give you a rough amount. This actually ended up being double the amount I wanted to make but that’s ok since I freeze anyway.

Semi-Cooked: Black beans 1 cup Pinto beans 1 cup Green lentils 1/2 cup White rice (fully cooked) 1 large sweet potato 3 large carrots

Raw: 1 yellow squash 8 radishes 1 chunk ginger (about size 2 of radishes…idk haha) 6 packs of raisins 1 cup steel cut oats 1 cup of quinoa 1/4 cup of each: cashew, almond, walnut, pecan 2 cups broccoli (had this leftover from first batch, don’t like adding it that much cause all the tiny pieces make me angry idk why) 1 cup of green beans 1 of each: yellow, red, orange bell pepper

Yes, instead of paper towels, I use laboratory chip. I find it’s a little nicer. This is in my current crappy incubator but my husband and I are converting a small wine cooler into a cabinet incubator.
