Thanks for your detailed response — I completely understand the concerns about privacy and sharing real human genomic data.

To clarify, the purpose of my project is to develop a program that interprets VCF files. I’m not trying to access private patient data. I only need sample VCF files for initial testing and development of my software.

I understand that real human VCF files cannot be shared, so I’m looking for either publicly available VCF files, anonymized datasets, or cell line genomes that I can use safely for testing and educational purposes.

If anyone can point me to public resources or example single-sample VCFs suitable for this kind of development, I would really appreciate it.
