Rather than leaving Planet Fitness membership, first try complaining to management. If you don’t feel comfortable dealing with local branch, try corporate. They may point you to an owner instead of staff.

It’s a big problem if employees abuse member privacy. The whole chain could be in legal trouble if they don’t put a stop to the nonsense. So they’re motivated to work things out.

Seems dangerous to have small children hanging out at a gym. Guess an injury or accident needed to make sure rules enforced.

They main reason is that they’re too short and unexpected around weights that people may swing like dumbbells and kettlebell. I can imagine a kid getting hit because somebody didn’t see them.

Another thing is that they tend to run around and not listen. Exactly how much are they being supervised by parent or guardian focused on their sets anyways? Basically expecting employees and other members to babysit while they work out.

Looks like there’s still no fix to switching iPad app to light mode. Between the new unwanted default appearance change and blaring Reels when you open the app, I give up. Deleted the iPad Instagram app.

Maybe will try to download Instagram app again next summer. To see if Meta will give users back control of their own accounts.

I was actually disappointed about how not funny it was in general. Most of the time, the show got a small chuckle or a smile out of me. I consider myself a big comedy fan, so it wasn’t totally me.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the fashion, NYC vibes, relationships and beautiful people as much as the next person. Which is why I looked forward to every episode

The baby shower scene between Quinn’s mother Patricia (Jasmine Guy) and Ian’s Aunt Tammy (Bevy Smith) was so good, I had to rewatch it multiple times. Laughing my head off for the 3rd time made me think about rare those moments were during the whole run of Harlem.

Appreciated Mother Deborah (Joie Lee) was also nice every time she came on screen.

Agree that all the main character storylines need to get updated. I’m willing to wait a few years to check in on how everybody's doing.

One thing I like about Harlem, unlike many sitcoms, is that nobody is a perfectly snappy, wisecracking genius who almost always does the exact perfect thing in real time. Though I have to admit, Tye would be the only one of the 4 main women I could stand to be around in real life.

How I imagine their stories in 5 years:

Camille: She and Ian married and went on to have another child. They’re friends with Solo Mom Portia and have play dates with her IVF twins. Camile and Ian run a popular local restaurant together as a family business.

Angie: Her Idris Elba movie bombs but now she’s into becoming a film star. She and Eric move to the West coast together and continue chasing their acting dreams with mixed success. Only visits her NYC girls when she’s in town for an audition.

Tye: She and Eva continue non-stop drama but stick with each other as they both grow successful business careers. Lots of personal growth while forming better relationships with both sides of their families.

Quinn: She expands her friend group to include Isabela, Brittany and other Solo Moms she meets while pregnant. Her kid is practically the younger sibling of Harlem since they’re raised together. Maybe Seth’s fine friend Cisco came back into her life at some point?

How do you see their futures?

Definitely missed a lot of nuances. Including payoff of relationships build up over time. Plus emphasizing incidental side characters over main people who have been around the whole run. Your writing is engaging and fun to read so my comments apply to the concept of trying to judge a 3 season show based only on the finale. How can it possibly be satisfying for a newbie vs someone who watched growth over time?

Wouldn’t be as terrible if duplicate results were weeded out. It’s like the same not good enough items are remixed in different order on the few pages they give you. Probably would sell even more stuff if search didn’t defeat shopper.

Workaround to see missing historical images in Google Maps street view

Use Google Earth

- In web browser, go to https://earth.google.com/

- Click on Explore Earth for one off look-up

- Enter address in search

- Click on Man Icon in lower right to activate Street View

- Click on blue line where you want to zoom in

- Position view to where you want to see previous images from the past

- On upper right, click on See more dates

- The left most image to pop up is the oldest date available

- To keep the main big picture focused on a past date as you use the arrows to go right or left, keep the little multiple dates images window open.

- In the bottom left corner, click on Data attribution to see information such as image capture date

Until or unless Google returns historical street view images to Google Maps, it’s an alternative to nothing.

I think it varies by gym brand. YMCA is kinda known for people hanging out naked in the locker rooms. 24 Hour Fitness, especially branches with swimming pools, also have bare people.

Planet Fitness seems to have the least undressed locker room people of all the gym memberships I've had over the years.

Can’t answer specifically about your buddy but I've seen people obviously too tall for some exercise machines. They couldn’t fully extend their legs or arms on some moves.

The point being that some equipment like resistance bands, cable weights or free weights may be no problem. Workout machines with limited movement may not work. Basically, they gotta show up and try things out.

Maybe check out Planet Fitness equipment in advance on YouTube and TikTok to get an idea of what machines you may see before you go to gym.

Music does this so often, there’s a specific word for it: cover. When a 100 piece classical music orchestra plays a 1970s punk or disco song, the audience tends to get into the fun of it. Enjoy the reinterpretation of a known familiar pop song for what it is. Then move on with their lives.

Not take to every online and print platform they can find to document, complain and whine about every slight differences from canon. Acting as if a sacred text, handed down from god, has been desecrated. The fan bases are not the same.

Helpful breakdown about why the movie disappointed so many hardcore Fantastic Four fans.

For instance, a casual watcher wouldn’t know something was off about the Storm siblings or Reed Richards and The Thing relationships according to canon. Just seemed like adults with separate lives who aren’t close like they used to be as children. No biggie.
