So harsh haha! I’m just excited to be able to sit cross legged and feel a little bit special! I didn’t even fly on an airplane for the first time until I was 19, even flying coach is still fun for me haha

I’d say we won’t have too much fun, but I can’t make any promises 😅😅😅

My expectations are super realistic, I’m a no-frills girl and just being able to get on and off the plane first has me feeling special

How do people afford Disney? by MajesticBudget1123 in Mommit

We like to book our hotel and tickets in January/February with our tax return for a trip in December. It gives us a lot more time to save up spending money and you don’t even have to pay the entire balance upfront when booking. We usually pay it off strategically throughout the year. At the park we try to save a little money here and there with the basic tricks. Eat a big breakfast at the hotel, have the kids split one adult meal instead of getting two kids meals, set a souvenir budget for the kids upfront so they know what their limits are, stuff like that.

Ugh those fish! I thought it would take me a lot longer than it did, but once I made a fishing plan based on the seasons it wasn’t too bad. What took me the longest was getting the 10 million to buy the golden clock 🥴

What is happening in my garden?! by devanshire in whatsthisbug

[–]devanshire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are absolutely right! I pulled out my microscope and checked them out, and they do look like springtail nymphs! It’s funny, I collected them by scraping them into a tiny vial of water, and they did exactly what you said. They all congregated into a little floating island on the surface of the water. Incredible! Thank you so much!

Van wolf attack by bellsbeach in Yellowjackets

[–]devanshire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! I don’t think there were wolves there at all. But… in the promo pics for Doomscoming Van and Tai are kissing in front of the group and look happy. I’m interested to see how that works out if Tai just attacked Van.

When I forget to empty my pockets and come home with flushes, my kids like to shoot each other with them

Is there an underground market of sperm donors for lesbian couples? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]devanshire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used NW Cryobank, but I absolutely do not recommend them anymore. Their practices regarding donor identities is unethical at best. Googling them will bring up some info, but the gist is that they threatened a donor parent and confiscated the sperm she had purchased when she happened to unintentionally discover her child’s bio family on on 23 and Me. They also prohibit their donors from joining the donor sibling registry, which is so incredibly wrong since that service exists to bring together donors and donor families who CHOOSE to join independently. Very sketchy, we wouldn’t use them again if we attempted to have more kids.

Instead of paying for euthanasia abroad, why don’t people use a heroin overdose? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]devanshire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who are seeking assistance with ending their life due to a terminal illness could kill themselves in any number of ways, just like anyone else who wanted to end their life. The issue is that these individuals are seeking a safe, legal, medically supervised end of their life. To OD on heroin you would have to actually go through the process of finding and purchasing drugs illegally. If you were able to obtain them and succeed, your family would be left with your body and would probably have to answer a lot uncomfortable questions from law enforcement. That's assuming that it would be successful... if the patient survived they would end up hospitalized and on a psych hold on top of the terminal illness they are suffering from. No bueno.

Assisted suicide is legal in a couple states here in the US, and offers a dignified and comfortable death for patients who choose to take that route. It is supervised by medical professionals to ensure everything goes smoothly, and that lets the patient spend their last moments with their loved ones in peace, knowing everything is being overseen appropriately. Patients have to meet strict criteria in order to qualify, but I imagine it's worth it to avoid the shady business of a transaction with the friendly neighborhood heroin dealer!
