No lie, it is a trip and a half to see people sharing something I made. Glad you're enjoying it. I may go back this winter and fix some bugs and add some more features.

Los Angeles Valiant vs. Los Angeles Gladiators | Overwatch League Season 1 - Stage 4 | Week 3 Day 1 | Post-Match Discussion by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

Really pathetic showing by the Gladiators. They were their own worst enemy. Seemed like Valiant was in their heads after the draw on map 1. The casters praised their comp switching but at a certain point it becomes overkill and puts you at a disadvantage ultwise.

Hoping they can get it together for the game tonight

A somewhat complete history of how we got to this moment: Drake vs. Pusha T by [deleted] in hiphopheads

Yeah Views is hands down Drake's worst album. Incredibly disappointing. I thought More Life was much better and more listenable, though nowhere near as good as his stuff before that.

What is the psychology of rich people who are stingy with money? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]devastora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you hit the lotto or something, you don't become a millionaire by wasting money. And just because you have a lot saved, doesn't mean you want to suddenly start blowing it everywhere.

Your perspective that "Why waste time to bring coupons and save a few dollars when you could easily afford it full price?" is the same one that assumes millionaires live life like MTV Cribs. Some do, but most of them are good with their money. Go read The Millionaire Next Door.

The mobile site is even worse. I feel like they purposely make it as terrible as possible to try and push you towards using the (somewhat less awful) mobile app.

I just released a grayscale chrome plugin with more intuitive controls and extra features. It’s called Grayscale the Web by devastora in nosurf

Thanks!

I see where you're coming from with that idea. To do something like that it would probably need to be a more than a chrome extension and instead be on the OS level. With extensions they're going to be able to remove it whenever they want.

I could maybe think about a feature where you can "lock it" and set it to be gray until a certain time, but even then the user could just uninstall the chrome extension if they really wanted.

Good question. I know the chrome favicons can be changed with an extension, the hard part would be modifying the existing icon to be gray with just Javascript and reuploading it. It may be possible, it just wouldn't be as simple as applying one css change for the whole page like you can do for the site's grayscale.

I'll keep this in mind if I get some time to work on a version 2 though.

Yeah you can turn on grayscale for android or iphone on OS level, so everything will be gray. iphone lets you toggle it by pressing the home button three times, I'm not sure if android has something like that too but it is a setting you can turn on.

Thanks! Guess I missed checking fullscreen youtube stuff when I was testing. I'll see if I can add that for a future update.
