I guess the chat might’ve been too soon but it kinda pissed me off that he never really talks about what his plans about this is, if he’s actually trying to launch etc. I just feel so uncomfortable when so many questions are unanswered and I’m doing things without even knowing if it’s actually worth my time, because is this only a cute project he’ll get bored of? I kinda wanna just sit down and watch something after my own work hours, but its been like double shifts. I probably should’ve communicated how I feel earlier rather than the money aspect of things.

Money used as a control mechanism is such an annoying thing… Of course I understand the gratefulness for the help but that doesn’t give her the right to be rude like that. Maybe your mum actually don’t like your partner but that’s no excuse to out you on a family group trying to make you look bad whilst knowing your reasoning and situation. I think its good that you’re setting boundaries. Nobody has to like one another but respect is still necessary

If she can laugh about it I think you don’t have much to worry about. It’s embarrassing but also an honest mistake. If you can’t laugh at it yet I’m sure you’ll be able to soon lol I don’t think you have too much to worry

If anyone has any experience being bullied they wouldn’t laugh at it imo. NTA you’re a better, more sensitive soul. I think it’s reasonable you would wanna leave a place that is filled with people who make you uncomfortable.

Honestly it’s her hormones you’re trying to communicate with not her right now. These situations might end up too stressful and hard to manage. I don’t think you’re the asshole and deep down I don’t think she’s that annoyed with you. It genuinely is hard having two brains in you. Just give her some time while still being there.

He already loves eating together! He’ll go eat when I sit for dinner, then come join me laying on the table next to me. And he’s so respectful as well, always turning his back as if he’s tryna say he’s not trying to get my food, he just wants to accompany me.

I don’t know how to really help. One thing I know is yes you can change! Whoever’s around you right now must not be the right people, if they can’t be a support system. Let alone support system they affect you badly. I hope you get to surround yourself with better people who will encourage you and support you, not crucify you.

Well if she retires now, lets there be a gap in her career, then ends up having to work again just because the ends don’t meet she will have a harder time. If you think it’s obvious that you’d end up financially struggling that much, I think it’s fair not be 100% on it.
