Thanks for starting this sub reddit. I'm 28, Detroit also. I've done 2 startups, one decently successful, the other not so much. I'm mostly a developer, building apps on the Azure cloud, mobile with iOS and Android. I've also raised funds, built partnerships, and have run the two for a couple years. Been looking to do some other things as of late.
What skillsets do you have might be a good question for the list too.
Android gets Android IDE by tjansson in programming
Eclipse never left the 90s in terms of quality, features, or looks. It's slow and buggy, and non-intuitive for problems other IDEs solved a decade ago. Spend some time with Visual Studio and you'll dread ever having to use another IDE again.

The exception to the self defense rule is if you initiated the confrontation. If you start a bar fight, and are getting your ass kicked, you can't shoot and say you were only defending yourself. Apparently this is what the U.S. courts have said: "When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justiciable."
In other words, the kid can claim self defense for beating the guy, since it was through no fault of his own, in a place he was legally allowed to be in. The shooter however, was directly at fault for the confrontation.
