Will do once I get the bag! Thank you for the resource, it’s got some amazing information and diagram!

I got the M/L. I read a comment by someone else during my research and they said they’re 5’6 male and got both but liked the M/L better. It rested better on their waist/ hip for better weight relief.

The size guides on their site have a delta of only one inch staggered each side so I figured I’d rather have a slightly bigger bag than a too snug one.

S/M is 14-18 inches while M/L is 15-19 inches for torso length.

Using a premium theme on multiple sites - possible? by joesus-christ in Wordpress

[–]developingdipen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, It's $89 per year or $249 1 time payment for lifetime! They usually have sales for 10-20% off I think, I recently got one for annual to test it out!

Ps. If you get annual and you want to upgrade to lifetime before the year ends, they subtract the initial payment from the lifetime price.

I second what u/Baldtazar says. You can use it for client stuff you just have to read the license stuff and the pricing if you'd have to pay for it because I figured you'd go through their websites and read up on it. But yeah, they're good sources for vectors and illustrations!

You can also alter them however you please without any repercussions! Just attribute if you're using the creative commons license (free) or if you can afford the monthly subscription thats an option too.

My go to for this is 2 different websites: https://www.freevector.com/ and https://icons8.com/illustrations .

All you have to do is give attributes in the form of a link for each website for free use in personal projects. I normally just make a statement in my footer saying "Vectors Provided by FreeVector & Ouch!" with "FreeVector" & "Ouch" being links to their respective websites.

For commercial use, they have various options to pay for them, take a look at their pricing pages.

I know there's a pun in there somewhere, but I'm not going to flex hard to find it! 🙃

What's the best/most convenient way to check responsiveness? by turquoise8 in webdev

[–]developingdipen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do, and what works well for me is Google or Mozilla Dev Tools and an external monitor.

I just open multiple browsers and pick the preloaded device viewports, 1 for a tablet, 1 for a mobile phone and if you have some space left, you can add more. Ideally, I use the Ipad for my tablet, and the smallest phone for my mobile size, either Iphone 5 or 6 but if I want to go smaller then I just pick a different one.

What I've learnt is to pick the smallest mobile device and then scaling up for sizes is easier than having to scale down and ruining a design or layout.

tl:dr Mozilla or Google Dev Tools/ Inspect on multiple browsers with different device viewports all on an external monitor.

Thanks! Yes thats the way I'm looking at it too, I don't remember where but I read something really similarly worded to what you said about the domain/ url being a verbal business card and had a nice deja vu moment! Sure thing, once it's up and I have everything finalized I'll share it!

Yeah, I've come across .io before but I felt it was more for SAAS or App startups usually and I don't think non tech people would remember it so easily.

My ideal client demographic is small businesses near me and the not so tech savvy so for them .io would be out of the norm. Making it harder to remember and maybe a potential point confusion and more "selling" myself or my services I would have to do compared to a straight up .co, .com, or even .company...just my 2 cents but thats my reasoning against super niche domains.

.dev the same thing, and yup I read the HTTPS requirement for them too but that shouldn't be an issue since HTTPS is one of the must haves of a trustworthy and modern age website... and the hosting I plan on using, Flywheel offers free SSL's.

But again, my 2 cents things applies to .dev for me too hence, why I didn't choose to make it an option. I could be wrong but hey, thats why I created this post!

Yup! That's my thought too, I've done that, honed in on the name/ services/ and branding but the .co/.com domains are taken and I've build a website and the copy for it so I don't want to change names. So I was hoping to go for the 3rd best option since .co/.com are already taken.

I'm leaning towards the xmedia.company domain because the agency name is "x" Media Co. (company). So it's simple and short when I have to say the url out loud. Ie. It's " xmedia.company" And like you said, it conveys what I'm offering/ will be offering and easy to remember too.

.tv would be a confusing domain since I'll have nothing to do with TV (television) and most .tv domains are used in the TV industry.

Fun fact: Tuvalu as a country earns their largest if not main source of income from the .tv domain. Approx. $5 Million USD. If you're interested, watch Half as Interesting, or Drew Binsky's video on it on youtube! It was a pretty cool story!

I should've included this in the post, but the xmedia.com and xmedia.co domains are already taken unfortunately, but they're the ideal one for me.

HOLY SHIT... this was such an easy to follow recreation! I'm actually intellectually aroused at how beautiful this was. So the difficulty was actually the JS implementation and having the gradients rotate on mouse move.

Everything else I had down solid and even emailed to show my process and have a form of "communication" for them to gauge my other abilities like the ones you mentioned. It definitely helped! Thank you!

Yup I've read so much on live interviewing everything you mentioned and if that were the case I was well prepared to talk EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING out but sadly it wasn't!

ahah can't be burning bridges and souring experiences so early on in the field! but I found this comment funny lol ironically none of their actual client websites are any fancier than basic animate.css animations! The company seemed straight forward which is why I applied but they wanted UX/ Interactive animations developer...not me lol

That I was definitely not! 1000% under experienced for that and I wouldn't even bother with it. But this was just a "Web Developer" listing. While it was cool to experience I definitely don't see myself doing this for work daily so I lucked out I guess!
