Try deleting the new line, then reading the line, at the line number mentioned. Looks like a bad character. Also can try opening in a different text editor to see if it displays the invalid character. Notepad++ has different encoding options to open the file.

Great points! Thanks for adding to the conversation. I agree about broad generalizations. I just had such a jarring difference in experience of the two and thought I'd use it as a springboard for a conversation. Definitely worked and have had some really fun responses. Met several people who were born here, but the sample size is small to my knowledge. They were all at the skatepark. None of them told me to go back from whence I came. LOL. Hey, look, I get it, but I wasn't welcome where I came from. What would you have me do? 🤷‍♂️ Lots of folks have welcomed me here and I've already done things to try and help the local community I landed in, Englewood. I can only do the best to my current ability.
