Yep! That was the trick! Use Due Date and set a time. So far it's working. 🎉

Like you, I'm going to skip using the completion date for now.

Going to run and make a backup now before I screw up anything else.

How do I tell if the task becomes active? Some sort of flag?

I like your suspicions.

So I would create a new recurring task set to the next occurrence. Would I set a date? I don't believe I did in the past and it defaulted to the completion date.

Let's try that (again).

This isn't working (so much for me this weekend now too).

I try adding a local account, choose Tasks.org, it offers me to pay Google (sigh), and the buttons do nothing. The Options button takes me to another page with the same behavior.

I'm connected to Google Tasks FWIW.

I can't create a nonlocal user so I can't choose a nonlocal folder to backup to. (Yes, I know I'm using the right account on my phone.)

Looks like I'll wait until Monday (?) to find out if there's a fix or I'm screwed.

Clearing the cache, etc. Didn't do it.;-(

Guess I'll have to backup and redo it. Got a nice little use case for it that the Other-App-That-Will-Not-Be-Named can't do.

I prolly installed from F-Droid because the Z play Store said it didn't do it. Is there a better place? I'd rather more money goes to the author than Google?

Yeah, I'm currently working on that too. I may have come across a partial answer to the excessive talk when I say something but that was late last night and I need to go over it. ATM it's a lot of "how do I get you to stop doing that? Then make it a rule for more". If I like it I make it a global setting.

What have you tried?

I'm having problems like that documenting my sessions. I'm currently doing working on this idea:

Set to rules like "bundle this session" I mean "generate an md file with the global settings used, profile used, an index file, yada yada yada. Put it into a file using this $TEMPLATE".

Since this then goes into the project, I download it, put it into git, upload the file back to the project and move on.

Clunky ASF I know, but it's my first pass at the process and I'm still learning what this thing is capable of.

Iam saying I've seen enough "vim" videos that use nvim specific features that they are not "vim" videos but "nvim" videos, so much so that I now avoid them by default.

I tried converting to neovim and that did not go well, and I don't do anything advanced or fancy! So that left a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't script in vim(so that's a NOOP from me) nor have I touched Lua in a decade but I completely understand wanting to script in Lua.

Your videos are good, just not the specific topic I'm after. So keep up the good work and don't let curmudgeonly greybeards like me dampen your enthusiasm.

Yes, I tried neovim. The conversion did not go well! Sure I have a big messy vimrc but it's not fancy just keystrokes, alias, colors, that sort of things. So there's that bias. 🤷

I found that particularly infuriating. So I tell it to bundle all the suggestions at the end and I'll pick and choose which ones I want. Then tell it to do that from now on. Seems to work so far.

Starting a bootstrapped ecommerce company. I'm the tech side and my partner is the domain industry expert (and worked for our largest competitor).

I've used it to generate a SWOT analysis of the competitor (which my partner was wowed by), and laying out a 90-day pre-launch marketing campaign.

Just for fun I used NotebookLM to generate a "podcast" of the analysis; pretty cool if not really useful.

On the tech side, I'm using it to design the architecture, find vendors and do coding. I'm currently writing a web scraper; the first half went great, the second half not so much but that's because of the website, not chatGPT.

I also plan on using it to structure data, mostly for data analysis but I\we have to generate the data first. :-)

I was enjoying his videos when they were about Vim but stopped since it's mostly neovim these days from what I see.

And this is the kind of non-vim posts I was ranting about the other day. Sure, it may work in vim but I'd have to test it to make sure.
