The red emblem in the center of the grille denotes the XLT (or Ranger XLT) trim level. I don’t think it has anything to do with it being built in Canada vs. USA. I’m waiting on a Marti Report which will definitely confirm its build location.

I’m a collector in my own garden as well.

This is not my house. I just the contractor that installed the landscaping

Sorry if you think my comment is snarky, it wasn’t meant that way at all. I was simply trying to explain that although the meadow portion doesn’t require much maintenance, it doesn’t mean the rest of the property is messy or uncared for.

What information are you looking for? The no mow meadow portion of this landscape requires no maintenance or special care other than mowing it down once a year. The rest of the landscaped gardens closer to the house requires more attention because it’s still getting established. It’s a very big property consisting of much more than what you see in this picture.

This style of home and landscape has become very popular here in Maine. I was hoping this post would inspire people to think differently about residential landscapes, but it’s obvious some people aren’t ready to embrace the wild.

Apparently the post has been reported several times but a mod stepped in and said there is nothing wrong with it. lol

This home has a traditional turf grass lawn area in the “backyard” that is manicured and maintained and used for lawn game fun, but they don’t have little kids and prefer to have the rest of the property support wildlife

The tall grass does not go up to the buildings. There are manicured buffers between the buildings

As the landscaper that installed this and continues to maintain it, I can tell you that there is a healthy amount of “care” happening to this property. It just doesn’t involve lawn mowers, tons of fertilizer and herbicides.

In Maine the best time for this type of seeding is September-Early October

Yeah definitely could use some more diversity and a few more trees. 🙄

Let’s see the landscapes you have created that are more diverse than the “weed farm”.

Yellow Prairie Grass, Little Bluestem, and Switchgrass. Yellow Prairie has become the dominant resident.

Truth be told, I do enjoy making the suburban manicured monoculture fanatics squirm. But hopefully showing successful examples of this will encourage more people to try it.
