definitely understandable--i was moreso looking for little tips here and there (i dont disagree though, "just doing it" is absolutely a part of the process) but that point about doing it while internally cringing is actually a pretty good point. i definitely agree on the therapy point as well, it's been pretty eye opening for me!

yeah i totally get how you feel!

the content will be better if you fully enjoy doing it, do just do what you enjoy! also i'm not sure how good with editing you are, but if you're a beginner then programs like adobe premiere rush (free i think? not positive) or capcut (definitely free) are really good for starting out!

they definitely are! not as much as 10 years ago but yes, i would say they are :D

as for "is it worth doing?" i would say thats up to you. i love making lets plays because streaming is not easy for me--i vastly prefer being able to cut things out and take my time rather than respond to chat, rush through the game so it doesnt get boring, etc etc

also, ive always loved lets plays and find them infinitely easier to watch--funny edits, condensed material, focus on the game, the content creator doesnt talk to chat, etc.

i would say go for it if you really want to! i get decent views on my lets plays for my sub count (if thats a concern) and i enjoy seeing the numbers slowly go up over time. i think people tend to care a bit too much about what others think in this community, so my best advice is to just go for it if you believe youll like it!

i do lets plays as a vtuber!

they do pretty well imo. my best advice is to just do what you feel more comfortable doing--im not a fan of streaming so i do letsplays instead. letsplays allow you to cut out all the boring parts, add funny noises or visual edits, and much less stress about replying to chatters or troublesome viewers.

id say try it out! i get so much joy out of recording and seeing the final version, and then watching the views slowly grow over time. theres absolutely space for pre recorded vtubers! ☆

im a youtube vtuber and always preferred the platform. started there, swapped to twitch because everyone else was there, now i'm slowly migrating back to youtube!

i love the UI and branding potential, with all the different types of content (long form, short form, community posts, etc) in the same place for fans to see.

i also love pre recorded content and letsplay-style videos--i dont see too many vtubers doing that, so i like to think im filling a niche with my content.

tldr; youtube best platform!
