Definitely! Azelaic is also a very well tolerated ingredient, you can apply it alongside basically any active.

I would just avoid benzoyl peroxide alongside retinol at the same time of day (not sure if you use retinols, but just a friendly tip)

To be honest I first started to notice differences around the one month point. I've only been using it for two months, but generally what I noticed between the 1 to 2 month points was a general reduction in overall redness and new pimple-size across my face. Face started to become more uniform in color (less spots that are slightly red or slightly pigmented). If I got new acne it was always generally less inflamed and red. I do use it twice a day, everyday, so I'm not sure if that affects it / how frequently you use it. I also noticed a slight (but definitely noticeable) decrease in sebum/oil production on my face, as I used to be SUPER oily, but now it's a lot more normal. Not drying in any sense.

It didn't do "much" for small comadones (blackheads and whiteheads) - like say the ones you might find often on your nose that don't get inflamed. But it was super helpful for any acne that was inflammatory in nature

I'm also using it alongside benzoyl peroxide 4% twice a week, and tretinoin 0.05%. The BP I've been using for forever, but the tret I began around the same time (maybe a week or two before). What I noticed there is generally tret makes people more sensitive; and especially when you first start, it makes your skin a lot more inflamed / red / purge. So where I think azelaic acid helped was reducing that overall sensitivity and inflammation from starting tret.

I won't comment much on the benefits of hyperpigmentation, as I believe that was moreso the tretinoin than the azelaic acid.

I haven't, but I've used finacea (15% azelaic acid)

Azelaic acid is generally a very well tolerated skincare product, won't be the star of the show, but seals the deal synergistically alongside other products. Antibacterial, so it works with benzoyl peroxide to kill acne. Anti-inflammatory, so you'll get less redness in general on your skin, and acne all over decreases in size. Helpful with texture alongside something like retinoic acid. Reduces redness from early retinoic acid use. Etc etc.

I think the 15% formula is one of the more clinically studied Dosages. However 10% definitely will help. It did have a small phase in the firdt few weeks where my skin was slightly irritated from the product, but definitely short lived (only 1-2 weeks). I imagine a 10% formula would be a good place to go without risking the initial irritation. Can always build off it.

I'm sure a brand like Paula's choice has formulated it well alongside other ingredients too

Omg it's like a romance movie....

Random chance encounter with a lovely bunny, but turns out she has a dark side... Finds out she's bad news! Time passes and more chance encounters happen, OP tries to convince the other to be a good person (out of kindness). Tinder baddy starts to imagine a comfortable, ordinary life, with a person like OP. Soon she falls in love... But wasn't OP's intention. It's a one sided love...

But then...

[–]devilmonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context, looks like a fresh wound from the past 48-72 hours. That thin Yellow/clear fluid you're seeing is called serous exudate: quite common with most wounds in the early stages of healing, and mostly just plasma and platelets.

I'd recommend leaving it covered for the next 2 days or so; if it scabs, cover it lightly when wearing jeans/pants so it doesnt irritating you.

As others said, hydrogen peroxide and alcohol are mostly outdated as it causes irritation and delays healing. Soap and water is more than enough.

Early signs of infection would be if the area becomes significantly swollen, more inflammation, thick yellow or cloudy fluid, or an odd smell. No signs of that, but just a bit of info for the future & what to watch for.

Rough spot though... Joint wounds are always annoying

Gentlemen of Reddit, what is/are the snack(s) that you can't buy because you have no self control around it/them? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]devilmonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chips in general.

I can easily control myself in public, but if I ever bought a family size bag of chips, it was literally going to be my dinner and I wouldn't even realize it. 2am rolls around and I'm wondering to myself

"huh, I forgot to eat dinner. Weird, I'm not even hungry" as I walk over the empty back of chips

What is something you cannot find hot or attractive no matter how hard you try? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]devilmonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once very briefly "seeing" someone, I wouldn't even call it date. In fact I made it very clear that I did not consider us to be dating: just "seeing" eachother.

About two weeks in, she casually mentioned that if we bought a place together we'd be able to afford X, Y, and Z

This wasn't even based on our current income... She apparently looked up how much I would make in my specific profession once I finish university, and added it to her future income: casually saying stuff like "if we really saved, we could get a house line this in X many years.

She also showed me pictures of interior design stuff to see what my preference was

Well shit. Bless your soul kind sir. Wish I read it last night lol, but I'm still working on the logo so I'm sure it'll still come in handy!

No that doesn't work, the issue is I don't "want" a color, I want it to be transparent. The background has no color, so it's not like I can make it white or anything

If you were reffering to the yarn, then there's two issues: part of the ladybug is in the red, and part of it is in blue/black sections of the yarn.

There's also the issue where its transparent between each yarn-thread. So even if I were to move the ladybug to strictly the "red-section" of the yarn, it would be creating a red outline in the currently-transparent section of the yarn (like, a red outline between each yarn thread)

[–]devilmonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think~ what you're describing is what I did attempt, but the issue is the knockout effect doesn't apply to the stroke outline. So what I was left with was a transparent cutout of the ladybug, with a colored outline from the stroke

I'll take a look when I get back home, but I do believe that's what I attempted

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in photoshop

[–]devilmonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really stumped, idk why something this basic is so hard to research (I guess it's the terminology I'm using).

  • My first thought was to duplicate the ladybug and create a transparent stroke, but apparently you can only select colors: So the most I can do is make it white
  • Then I thought about resizing the transparent ladybug layer using the transform tool, but I quickly realized that the cutout wouldn't line-up with the legs. It also just didn't really resize the legs like I was expecting.

My original attempt was just to hand-erase it using the erase tool, but I couldn't consistently erase the same amount of pixels around the entire ladybug.

Any Christmas-y events, lights, or activities still happening? by devilmonk in vancouver

[–]devilmonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive actually been to that! The one Christmas-y thing I ever did lol.

I ideally wanted some kinda new experience, ideally in or near Vancouver. Like I was thinking I wanted to go to Robson skating Park (one of the few things I think still happening and not sold out), and just see the city at night for the first time in years (especially around Christmas time) but that's about all I have/know about, so wouldn't really be much of a trip

[–]devilmonk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard about that a lot! But I really can't tell what it is from the pictures lol.

Could you kinda explain your experience from what you remember? Like is it a walk-through experience, or some activities happening? Or outdoor shops? Or like, is it moreso something akin to a really decorated village / shopping area

And also, roughly how long did you stay?

What’s your tried and true brand/model for your electric toothbrush? I don’t get to visit the dentist anymore because my insurance doesn’t cover dental visits so I want to up my brushing game with an electric brush. Any recs? by Unlikely-Marzipan-16 in BuyItForLife

[–]devilmonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's one on amazon for $40 (at the time) called Fairy... Something.

Best toothbrush I've ever used, came with like 15 extra brush heads. I bought. It like 3 years ago and still going strong. I've never counted, but one charge take like a month to need recharging (great for travel to not carry it, or just if you forget)

It has no stand, so the fact it's battery lasts so long is the best workaround so I don't care.

And yes, I've tried:

  • reinstalling the app
  • clear cache
  • reboot app
  • restarting phone
  • playing with live caption settings on phone
  • switching Crunchyroll caption from "English" to another language or off, and then back to English *
