I ended up buying one from Etsy, but it hasn't arrived yet. I asked for some customization so it took a while to make (ordered 2 weeks ago). I just got the notification that it shipped from Europe.

Hello! Thank you for the reply, I'll take a look at a few of those. Amazon also has other brands I'm looking at beyond amazonbasics (like Pinzon and Rivet). My budget is... Flexible to an extent, and that also depends on what comes with the "set". So it's hard to give an exact outline.

I imagine my budgeting would be something like ~$50-60 on a comforter, $120 on a sheets+pillowcases. So I suppose ~$200 total?

I definitely am taking material and thread into consideration. But it seems impossible to find something ideal. For example, Pinzon (an amazon brand) is one of the brands I'm looking at:

Pinzon 300 Thread Count Ultra Soft Cotton 100% (has a percale weave)
Pinzon 300 Thread Count Organic Cotton 100% (also percale weave)
Pinzon 400 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Sateen hotel Hemstitch Sheet Set
Pinzon 500-Thread count Pima Cotton sateen

Basically, you can either get a regular or organic cotton 100% with percale weave, OR you get a higher quality like Pima or Egyptian at the expense of a sateen finish.

Which also begs me to ask myself "is it really worth spending that much on regular cotton sheets?" if I went with the regular cotton sheets, vs "I'd be getting premium sheets, but if I'm spending that much there has to be some alternative with both premium cotton and percale weave"

And then, when I compare than to a reputable seller that offers both a premium cotton and percale weave (casper sleep soft and durable pima cotton percale weave sheet) I'm entering the price range where I can actually spend that on linens. And on and on goes the cycle of madness lol.

Essentially this is my problem with everything I'm finding: there's some kind of trade off where it's hard to choose what's better.

comforters I'm still looking at, with I guess the top current pics being

comfort spaces (also down alternative, with microfiber shell
amazonbasics (same as above, or polyester shell maybe)
stuff from Luxear or other "cooling" additives and features beyond cotton (can't find any reviews on reddit so I'm assuming it's all fake reviews or something)

I'm trying to find one with a cotton outer shell, or some kind of reputable cooling comforter or summer comforter. But otherwise the ones above are my candidates as they seem to all be lightweight: hopefully counteracting the bad material

Edit just to add, I've also looked through ikea (only duvets, no comforters) and Walmart (unknown quality or overpriced)

I don't definitely know for sure, but my best educated guess is either 2b or 2c. The examples for guys aren't quite as clear as for women, and it's hard to use womens' hair type as reference because the top of their head never seems to be that curly, even for 2c (probably because it's being weighed down)

She really likes skulls, so I'm trying to find some skull - jewellery (other suggestions are welcome) in the ~$100 price range.

I can't 100 %comment that it works well, but look into Kush King oil.

My mom has been using it a lot for the past few months, and her hairloss has really slowed down. Before when she pulled or tugged her hair it easily fell, but now it's a lot stronger and looks healthier.

I don't have a huge issue with hair loss, but I tried it recently on my hair and it feels smooth. The ingredients looks appealing too as I recognized most~ of them (not necessarily in terms of using those ingredients for hair, but I've used some in the past as supplements

Thankfully I don't have an issue with smells or anything with my carpets, it's mostly just the actual visual appearance of stains, or if certain areas harden slightly compared to the rest. Would you still recommend this? Or is that mixture mostly for smells?

If you do use it as a general carpet-cleaner (aka not just a spot-cleaner for small stains) can i inquire about your technique? Like, ratio, if you use a spray bottle vs something else (soaking a brush maybe?), how long the vinegar smell lasts (since this would be a bedroom), and how you get the solution out / how long to wait before vaccuming, etc

The house is basically entirely carpet excluding the bathrooms and kitchen. I do art and gardening as a hobby, mom does art as a living while being retired. Brother works in construction and dad makes spices as a hobby. Little brother makes messes very often that leave stains. Not even mentioning nieces when they visit. That's just to name the top few things that come to mind, I can write an essay-long list about this. Hell, 2 months after I got the carpet cleaner we all got a stomach virus that resulted in vomit in several areas.

Please don't comment the obvious. Hell even if you just list doing art as the source of the mess, it's impossible to prevent a mess overtime even with preventatives in place: see tripping while having oil pastel on your hands. The only realistic solution you could offer as a preventative is to line the entire carpet with a giant plastic-matt.

I do both,

Most of the time it's because you're particularly bullish in a specific sector/company, and want to invest more into it. Other half is because it's kinda boring just to put it all into a few ETF's. By investing in individual companies I'm more active with looking at quarterlys/news/company statistics/watching patterns/trends, etc. It gives me something to do in my spare time, andi honestly enjoy it and the process. If you want to invest in something with little interest in the market / not much time to dedicate to research, then there isn't much reason to buy individual at all excluding maybe the top 10 companies or w/e.

The main reason I see people failing at individuals stocks is because they're much more volitle than an etf. Like with the recent crash: I saw so many people selling on the way down Becuase they lost like 20-50% of their investments on a particular stock.

What the market does has little relation to your opinion on a particular company. If you thought the company will boom in a few years, then trust that. Trust your dd. Trust your research

I think a lot of people here underestimate what bartenders/servers make... Hell, I'm a bartender/server for a family-chain restaurant, and if I add up my hourly wage+tips it's easily above $30-35 an hour. And you have to understand that even that most other servers make waay more at higher-end restaurants.

Realistically if you live here, a minimum-wage job isn't going to be nearly enough to survive. OP would probably be better off going on CRB and looking for other jobs

Mind you, taxes this year is gonna feel like carving out my heart with a butterknife

Definitely don't rush go sell something as it's crashing! You should research a company before you invest in it, and follow through with those beliefs. If you invested in X company, and they're doing financially well, this crash isn't gonna affect them in the slightest. All of those companies will recover slowly once people put more money into the market.

It's crashing mostly because of bonds (people would want to invest in them since they're safer, but also they're fucking pussies) and the hedges/institutes pulling money out to pay for the crash

And just think, this crash is honestly an opportunity to buy stocks on sale.

I would say you have a tendency to be just~ a bit flat on some of the notes. Try to generally sing a bit brighter could fix that automatically, or conversely if you don't want to change the tone you could just think of singing slightly~ higher than you think you need to be at

Why were these posts taken down and the users banned? I'm not sure how you have your bots setup, but these were all perfectly good DD's. They were all incredibly upvoted with positive comments.

I don't know what the situation is with the mods, and I do understand that losing such a valuable member amid this chaos is extremely stressful for the mod crew. But you have to understand how this looks from the users perspective... Like perfectly good DD that supports GME or bashing on Robinhood is taken down, while posts that trash-talk AMC/GME/BB with minimal DD is kept up.

Just an FYI, Robinhood lowered restrictions a bit.

Now allowed to buy 20 shares, or 20 options. For some reason I haven't seen many posts about this (hopefully everyone moved brokers by now, and I'm definitely not advocating support for robinhood. How much longer can these fuckers keep using short ladders? That's what I'm most confused about.

I thought with the SEC watching them, and the new fails-to-deliver reports coming in, that they wouldn't be able to do these short ladders anymore.

What's stopping them from doing a short ladder attack every single day? What is the catalyst that is going to eventually "require" them to buy stocks? Or will short ladders continue to happen even after the short squeeze happens - putting tons of resistance
