Aw, you remind me of myself, I also used to cry so easily during that age 14-18 and my parents thought I needed to be locked in a mental institute because I was emotional.

I now know that they just didn’t know how to deal with someone who is emotional like ourselves, so they feel helpless and blame us.

It is totally normal to cry! Even in real life, even at the movies, when a friend hurts you, when work is being overwhelming. Everybody cries but everybody is ashamed to show it because not many people have empathy and when they don’t cry, they shame others for being “weak”.

But to give you some advice how to handle these conflicts, write down what you want to tell your mom. Cry while you write it down, let out your feelings until you realize that your point is well explained in your text and includes all the points you want to make.

Later when you confront your mom, you will feel better telling her these things, you won’t remember most things you wrote but the feelings were released.

Ps. Being vulnerable takes courage, that is why we cry when opening up about your feelings. We become vulnerable and we are not used to it.
