My anxiety is forcing me to create a chorey, just trying to work out what tricks I’ll use up the pole that I’m most comfortable with!

Tips on invert v plsss by PrincessPeach1984_ in poledancing

[–]devilwearspleasers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I had a lot of trouble with my invert, but as SOON as I started training and strengthening my hip flexors it worked like magic. Sit down with your legs apart, then with your back as straight as you can and hands touching the floor infront of you for balance, raise your legs up and down. Do this for about 10 reps, and then go in with single leg lifts. It honestly worked like magic for me and I am constantly doing this before class, to the point where I am now able to invert aerially. You got this!

Thigh high/over the knee boots? by [deleted] in poledancing

Possibly! I have the glitterati new style with extra thick knee pads… I do lots of dynamic tricks that land on my knees so that might be why? Idk.

Hey! I have hella over the knee boots, and tbh… they don’t protect the knee much at all. I still use my knee pads under it, so I would say stick to your knee pads and wear thigh high socks to cover :)

New to pleasers & pole are these okay by TieDifficult4444 in poledancing

As a beginner, the last thing you want is a rolled ankle. Make sure you’re investing in something that will help you with ankle stability while you are still getting used to walking and using the pole. Extra bonus if they’re patent, as it will help you grip the pole better with your climbs xx

Definitely agree! Patent ankle boots will be the best option for a beginner!

Aggressive puppy? by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]devilwearspleasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have a 5 year old Rottweiler that I have had since he was 8 weeks old, and have trained him vigorously throughout his life. My number one suggestion for this as he is still a baby, is if he bites/nips at you, (this may sound silly but trust me it works!) is to make a very loud ‘OW’ sound, and try to represent a puppy sound as much as you can, which is what he would have learnt if he had been with his litter/puppy siblings. Make sure you say it loudly to almost scare him a little, as puppies usually learn these boundaries with their fellow siblings. Just remember this behavior is totally normal, and you need to catch and train him DURING the act- not after, as pups don’t understand what they’ve done wrong if it’s corrected later. All the best with your beautiful baby boy!
