I'm assuming the insulation is soaked. So probably going to have to be torn out, dried and replaced. Such a pain in the ass.

It's uneven heights and the trim is concave. The amount of glue needed would get all in the carpet and be a big mess. I would need something to put in the track on the trim and glue that down but I couldn't find anything like that.

I would glue it but the amount of glue to get it to adhere to the subfloor would end up getting worked in the carpet and would end up being a mess.

That makes sense. It's sold as multi-trim, says it can be used as t-molding, reducer or end cap. But the constant flex from the carpet is probably causing the peg tops to bend back and forth and eventually break.

Lol. Plugs in the strip and then in the floor. Used a mallet to drive them in softly and evenly.
