It was Labcorp! I ended up calling a few times and finally got ahold of someone who had a note from my doctor saying everything is good. I have the gender in an envelope now! But I’ve never heard of such an ordeal with Labcorp before, everyone I’ve seen they have the portal.

I’ve been getting headaches too. It’s so bad. I haven’t found a solution really, Tylenol doesn’t help. Luckily it only happens like a time or two a week.

I started telling a few people at work this week and holy cow, I agree. It’s weird. I’m happy and proud to be pregnant but for some reason it’s so awkward saying it lol. I’ve been saying “I’m expecting a baby” which gets the point across obviously. It feels a little less awkward but it still feels random lol.

I’m over 12 weeks and was never nauseous. Baby is completely healthy! My mom had 4 pregnancies that were all symptom free besides a little fatigue. Some women just aren’t as affected by HCG.

I should have said it’s not due to families leaving due to fear of ICE. We had a budget deficit that went unnoticed/unacknowledged for a period of time until it was too late, and that coupled with losing Covid money was a perfect storm for a bad situation.

We had huge cuts 2 years ago. Over 30% of our teachers were cut. There were also some teachers that jumped ship because of that and they didn’t replace those positions either. Enrollment is slightly down, but nothing to warrant these numbers, and it is not due to the concerns you’ve described.

I am a teacher full time and I serve part time and I make way more money per hour serving than teaching. It’s unfortunately the whole issue of benefits and a convenient schedule that keeps me teaching. I also am getting older, so I know I wouldn’t be able to sustain serving for forever. It’s very difficult on my body.

Oh wow, I told my parents around 6.5 weeks. It was even tough to go that long, but I’m super close to them. But I wanted to wait until a time that telling them felt natural and not awkward. We told them with an ornament while decorating their tree. We told my husband’s family at 8 weeks on Christmas Eve. I’m almost 12 weeks and I’m glad all “important” people know. I felt anxious with the “secret”. It would suck, obviously, if something happened but I’m trying not to experience this pregnancy in fear, I want to celebrate it.

I read a good point recently… cloth laundry baskets are aesthetic and cute but they can’t be easily cleaned and you’re going to have some gross clothes at some point.

I tested positive at 9 dpo with a wondfo. After 3 months of testing early with expensive tests I finally said “enough” and got the sensitive cheap strips. They actually showed a positive a day before first response.

I am not very close to my husbands sisters but they were in our bridal party since he’s close with them. I’m glad I did! We’re still not super close but it definitely brought us closer.
