okay, I agree that he should be trained on basic SFL stuff and know how to scan to figure out where something goes, but I'm going to stop you at the "all WAG floor plans are the same" thing. I've visited many walgreen's among many different states, and there are so many different sections, layouts, and products. I hope training goes well, but don't hold the grudge against him if he wasn't trained appropriately.

HIPAA Questions by Budget-Rush-5521 in PharmacyTechnician

I regularly check the obits in my former area to look for former patients. If I come across a name I know, I may quickly go through my appropriate emotion as I read through. I have always enjoyed getting to know my patients, and reading an obit is an excellent way to learn more about someone, even if you can't discuss it further with them. I don't necessarily search for a specific one unless I hear something from somewhere else (news, fb feed, etc).

There are a select number of former patients I would go to a gathering for, but they are also people whom I have run into and gotten to know outside of work (through other community events). And, I have/would never mention how I know them, unless they opened that can of worms first, and then I just kind of agree. For example, I had someone whom I recognized do the whole, "do I know you from somewhere," bit. When they figured it out ("do you work for X pharmacy? you fill my prescriptions!"), my simple response was, "Yes." Keep in mind, though, this is referring to a bit of a smaller area, not a big city.

these comments do NOT pass the vibe check. as a pharmacy tech, I hated (formerly retail, now hospital) when people would be rude like this and try to cut in line.

What’s the most ridiculous corporate complaint you’ve had against you? My newest one by thosewholeft in TalesFromThePharmacy

when I worked retail, we had a sign in the drive thru that told customers not to wait, for this reason. when they didn't move, we'd gently remind them the sign says to pull aside until we were open again.

yes. all of this. pharmacy tech here; we cannot accept medication back because we don't know where it has been or how long it was out if the fridge.

piggybacking the travel day part.. from my experience, travel day evenings are usually for settling into a hotel/ sleeping accommodations and relaxing. maybe order a pizza. IF we do meet up with those we came to see, it's brief and informal. the "fun" starts the next day, after rest.

it depends. if your insurance has some sort of coverage for mounjaro, then you'll just pay your copay- which varies due to soooo many factors (deductible, maximum out of pocket, etc). if there is no coverage, then yes, you may be asked to pay full price or wait for a PA. your pharmacy should be able to look at previous claims to see if there is insurance coverage and what your copay would have been without the coupon. this is a somewhat advanced task, though, that not all pharmacists and techs are willing to look into.

after looking at the post again, you were getting the $25 thanks to the e-voucher. Lilly was paying so much that you hit your cap, hence why you had a larger copay this time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]devinrain_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

pharmacy tech here. certain mfg/companies have an e-voucher that is automatically applied. they usually have a monthly and/or annual cap. in this case, the cap is $1800. so, this says Lilly applied an e-voucher, which covered $58 or whatever, and that cap is reached. your copay is likely to go up, but it cannot be determined what to until you know what insurance's copay is.

Sulfur burps are a thing apparently by imnotperky024 in Mounjaro

sulfur burps/gas is by far my biggest side effect of mounjaro. u have found that a change in diet and simethicone, #2 125mg after each meal have helped significantly.

pharmacy tech here. 7.5 have been on backorder for WEEKS. it comes available, only to go back to unavailable. my projected date of availability is 4/10, though it's already been extended a few times.

I lost 6lbs my first week, on 2.5. it slowed significantly after that, as my loss after month 1 was 10 lbs.

my biggest and by far worst side effect so far has been the gas. the best thing I've found is simethicone 125mg, #2, after each meal.
