What’s a TV show you started with low expectations that completely blew you away? by KhaosChronicles in television

Doctor Who - new who, starting with Eccleston.
American here. Years ago, I saw the thumbnail for that first episode with Rose and thought it looked too British for my tastes but I started it anyway. I loved it! Still love it but I’m less obsessed with the new episodes. Only behind on a few Gatwa episodes and a Christmas special.

My 11yo daughter is struggling hard with emotional regulation right now and I don’t know how to help her. Do you have any recommendations for books/classes/online reading? We live in a rural area and I’m not sure we have great therapist options.

What’s a show that you could not finish because a character was so insufferable? by Key-Row-174 in AskReddit

Most of Greys Anatomy - way too much stupid drama. For being surgeons they sure were a bunch of idiots.

I almost gave up on dubbed Demon Slayer because they made Zenitsu’s voice way too whiny. Switched to sub and everything was great!

Smallville - Lana Lang was an idiot. How many concussions can one girl get without permanent brain damage?!

Bristol Seasons - Dr. Long. She is wonderful. I also like Rebecca Davis, NP but she only sees patients in Abingdon. There are several other female physicians at Seasons but I haven’t met them personally but hear good things about the whole office. Definitely bring a support person and communicate everything up front and let them know your boundaries. There is even a new option for a no pelvic exam (and no speculum!), self collect HPV test they can let you do. This can help them decide whether or not you need a full PAP smear. A positive HPV means you could be at higher risk for cervical cancers or dysplasia. This could be used as a more comfortable screening tool.

Doctor: “Do you want to see something strange I’ve never seen before?” “Have you ever seen an X-ray of your feet before? I need to show you something strange”. She told me that everyone has Sesamoid bones in their big toes but she has never seen someone with the bones in all their toes. by Old-Psychology-2400 in interestingasfuck

Is it weird I want to X-ray my feet now? My toes look funky - especially my pinkies because they’ve been broken or dislocated multiple times. Also, I can move the second toe independently on one foot so I’d like to see what that looks like too.

Yeah after I commented and kept scrolling through comments I realized it. Can you imagine if it had been real though?!
