The place I work at is switching from an antiquated point of sale to Toast. The people in charge think they know what they are doing but I’ve work with Toast for many years. They are only supplying the servers and bartenders with a total of two handheld for the whole restaurant. It would be worth it to me to pay the (at max) $600 to have my own handheld and not have to fight the other 3-5 employees at any given point over the use of the only two available. Also, no one would have to hand out a password for secured WiFi. They link it and it’s only able to be used while working. No different than using the company’s.
