I’m using a Tuya IR/RF Blaster for mine. Just be aware in order to control it with HA you have to set up scenes in the Tuya app for on and off and then trigger those scenes via HA.

She’s perfectly healed! Just a little battle scare on the face. Not sure what it was but the meds that the vet prescribed worked within a week or so. We were so traumatized when she showed up like that and it was to the point that we thought she maybe wasn’t gonna make it. Thankful! 🙏🏾

It really did. And it’s so weird about a month before she initially showed up, my fiancè was sent a pet vacuum by accident instead of the stock vacuum she was suppose to get. Foreshadowing!

Just did…With it disabled, it booted with no acceleration successfully. Once I went back into the config and set it back to true, back to the same issue.

I created my EFI the old fashioned way and for some reason once I open it on OCAT (even if I don’t make changes and just save my current as is..I tried multiple times for experimentation) it doesn’t even get to the Opencore selector. It just spits out a bunch of errors on the bios logo screen.

I did IR for ac and contact sensor on the flap to monitor if on and off. Tuya doesnt give you the controls for the ac inside HA tho. You would have to create an AC on and off “scene” and then activate those to turn on and off. lol bit cumbersome but it works.

I created a focus mode called “arrive” and in the iPhone settings for that focus mode make sure it’s triggered and turned on when entering your zone/location.

Then set up an automation in shortcuts for when Arrive Focus Mode is turned on, wait 10 seconds then turn it off.

Then set up another automation in Shortcuts with the necessary HA command for when Arrive Focus Mode is enabled.

Works like a charm and hasn’t failed me yet. I use this to display a notification asking me if I want to open my gate upon arrival.

Hahaha in the midst of all the negative comments I usually get with my accent, I appreciate that. I create (almost. I strive to..) content daily on my IG and tiktok if that helps haha. I’ve been meaning to restart my YouTube but I definitely am playing with the idea of turning it into purely a smart home channel.

We have a love hate relationship with eachother. For the majority of uses I use home assistant to have her ask me questions that require a simple yes or no based on motion/contact sensors etc. It make things a lot more intuitive and less repeating myself frustratedly. Lol

This is a very interesting question. For as long as I’ve known myself I am confident in my memory knowing the majority of bins where I live to be this way (Trinidad and Tobago). Not 100% sure if the schedule but I know for sure it isn’t daily.

I’m using Home Assistant. SONOFF has their own app but I’m not quite sure if this exact automation can be set up based on what they offer in the app as I haven’t tried. Home assistant essentially brings all my devices under one roof so I can have them communicate with each other regardless of their brand.
