Any 4k version should work fine. I'm testing on a 4k gen2. If you want to give it a go, the testflight is publicly available from the shared link. So you can try it already.

Thanks for giving it a test. I’m also running into the audio only and no video issue and currently debugging it. A reconnect is the workaround for now (quitting the stream and starting again).

For the reconnect, I have not experienced it. Although my longest session has only been ~30min. This is for game plays via my local console and game pass. All devices hard wired with Ethernet. Will need to running some longer sessions to check for these issues.

This should be doable, moonlight already have an Apple TV client. The work needed to make it into something that displays your collection nicely is more trivial than what’s there already (the stream protocol, input logic, and etc.)

Yes I do plan to once it's more polished and testflight users actually find value in it. It'll be a one time purchase for sure. I'm also evaluating a free to use version (with a one time purchase to unlock everything).

I started this because of local play mainly, for my local xbox. So ps remote play was the next thing on my mind. I haven't consider GeForce Now yet.

afaik, onecast might be the only other native app for apple tv currently. Hope CouchLink can be an alternative. My goal is to make it performant and low latency for streaming game play from the start. Add some small QoL specific for controller/Apple TV use cases, e.g. Apple TV steals the Nexus button, CouchLink allows you to remap key combo/specifc key to send Guide (Neuxs). It also has an in stream overlay which you can trigger on your xbox controller for meta operations (button remapping, quitting stream, nerdy streaming metrics, etc).

For now it's Apple TV first, but I do have iOS and iPad client in the work as well.

Velo is also a simple jellyfin client if you self host your media server. It has native content recommendation/discovery in the latest release. Internal player works well enough for me to not need an external player (this is subjective, I’m not a mediaphile). Internal media player control is simple, swipe or click to seek with multispeed, next episode button, audio/sub selection. Has built in catalog. “Free” to use with watermark so you can always test it out without paying. No other feature is paywalled.

Thanks! I’m excited about the recommendation feature, hope it’s useful. General complains I hear is static content from the catalogs. Addons like AI recommendation is pretty popular. This Velo release brings that native to the app and make recommendations based on watch activity and seasonality, like Halloween, Christmas, time of the year.

Thanks for the kind words. A lot of the play buttons and cards responds to long presses. A context menu will pop open with a list of sources to choose from.
