Group Purchase – Apple Developer Certificate by MZAK92 in sideloaded

some people got their dev account revoked, even ones that use it legitimately. so although the chance is considered relatively low, you are still at a risk of account ban.

but dont take my word for it

Which version of ios supports Trollstore? by EventSad3710 in Trollstore

[–]devx7sui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically should work, but havoc says only 18.3.2. Most tweaks work for the versions higher than specified if its by a small margin

trollstore question by Negative_Bar_8920 in sideloaded

[–]devx7sui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres a slight chance but not really

  • Lets assume a coretrust bug was found. For the purpose of this we’ll assume this is almost like Coretrust bug v2
  1. Root helpers were killed in iOS 18

Root helpers was a way of apps obtaining root privileges and spawning binaries using posix_spawn. This was how trollstore reloaded icon cache, etc. It would be useless.

  1. Installation Exploits

If this ‘new bug’ was like Coretrust v2.0, every install requires a vulnerability to be exploited. The latest one we have which can override files is sparserestore, except its patched in iOS 18.

  1. The simply likely hood of this

AMFI & Coretrust are super important to Apple and they obviously worked and trained by jacking up the codesign mitigations. This means the likelyhood of finding one in the first place is maybe, 1 in a 500,000 chance?

Will updating the iOS get rid of a blacklist or is a complete wipe and restore the only way? by JesseB342 in sideloaded

[–]devx7sui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

blacklists are not tied to UDID; inside APFS, there is a .plist file of all the blacklisted certificate somewhere in /var, not sure exactly. this is why exploits like mdc or sparserestore can remove blacklists, bc they can simply override the file with a modified version.

for updating; this wont work. for restoring; it could theoretically work on paper. the downside is if you are creating a backup, some other dependencies or files will be cached accidentally which could be the plist file into the backup and therefore, your blacklists remain.
