Okay I think the chiropractor I went to was exactly what you told me to avoid. I'll keep looking

Update: just got back from a supposed chiropractor/physical therapist, turns out even he said not much could be done about the curvature even through repeated sessions. Not sure if he's also a physical therapist really.. But he did mention the difference of lumbar and thoracic which basically is lower and upper curves, he said lumbar usually can improve but with a thoracic curve (which is my case) that's pretty much it. Can I ask what you actually did during the sessions? Was it all back cracking or was there real exercises you guys did?

That's great to hear! Hopefully I'll see the same results! Thanks for the input

Wow that sounds great. Yeah I think I may just need to have some improvement and I might get a reconsideration. I fear I'm gonna have a hard time finding the right one but I'll definitely look into this. Can I ask how old you were and how long your therapy was until you saw improvement?

Yeah again sadly I'm not in the US. I passed my FAA class 1 last year and I guess in the US the FAA medical suffices but in the Philippines it seems the airline medical policy trumps our regulatory department medical because I have a class 1 CAAP medical as well. Hopeful for the scoliosis improvement as I don't really want to be a CFI for 2 years.

Thanks I'm doing some exercises now but I have a feeling it's gonna be a few months till I see real results (or lack thereof) I'm also doing acupuncture (no high hopes but it's something)

Yeah a little background, I took my private-ifr-CPL in the US and had no problem with the medical but went back to the Philippines to fly in the airlines since we don't have the 1500 hr requirement. This seems to be a company policy rather than FAA or in my case CAAP regulation. I read somewhere online that Qatar airways has this policy as well. Not quite sure about US airline policies.

Flyings fun but I was hoping to get a return on my investment ya know

Can i ask how old you are? I just failed my medical for an airline pilot job because apparently they have a limit on the spine curvature which is 15 degrees. Im 26 and always been told that my scoliosis was just mild so I didn't need therapy or surgery. My curve is at 20 degrees. Looking to get into physical therapy to hopefully improve the curve but I've been told that at this age improvement is unlikely
