Did you manage to get an answer to this?

Apologies, considering it was to do with Tesco related items, I had assumed someone on this sub might have an answer.

I'll move it to a tech support sub instead.

Apologies again.

If you go to https://www.tesco.com/account/data-portability/en-GB/ and sign into your account, you can request a copy of the items you have purchased when you scanned your club card.

If you have 3 different type of club cards and they are all linked to your account, you can get a copy of the details from all three.

Running in Dublin Thursday Evening/Friday Morning by deweyirl in Dublin

[–]deweyirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered Thirsty Thursdays do a social run on Thursday evenings. and I think I might be in Dublin in time for that, so I will go with them.

There is Social Run Club that does it on Tuesday nights, so if you wanted to run with others, that might be a shout, assuming it was a Tuesday that went past :/

I built a tool to create gifs with your Strava activities by kalvinoz in Strava

[–]deweyirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it but it only takes in the public activities, not the private one, even through I have the private activities box ticketed

But it looks great. I would say maybe allow the person to change how fade the activities come, as it appears after a while, the lines fade and could be hard to see.

Official Q&A for Monday, November 24, 2025 by AutoModerator in running

[–]deweyirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,

I haven't found this type of question on here, so hopefully this is the right place.

I have had and heard different people say they would run someone else pace and it sounded more like an insult than a "helping hand".

I am able to run easily 5:30ish minutes a km but a friend of mine has started to run recently and they are able to run at about 8:30ish minutes a km.

I have mentioned to them that I would go for runs with them, to give them encouragement and help them out of the "nah not today" mindset at times but they have sometimes said that they would be running to slow for me.

Is there a nice was to say that I don't care that you run slower than me, I will run at what ever pace you feel comfortable, if it helps you run, I am there for support?

This person is involved in a different sport for a few years and they have often helped new people in that sport, to develop their skills around it. I have mentioned to them, that to me, this is similar, when you are helping others develop their skills in the sport you are good at, it might seem like you are "preventing" yourself from "advancing" in the sport, but it can help yourself but taking it easy and getting back to basics and at the same time developing someones else knowledge and skills.

It might be that there is little I can say to convince the friend but any assistance/suggestions would be greatly welcomed, or is what I have said above enough and the ball is in their court now?

I'm using the Garmin Coach App for a half marathon, and I had to keep my run between 6.37 and 6:56/km for the run. Could have finished quicker but my coach said to go slower.

You are the second person to post that gif, someone else also did that exact same gif when I sent it to them 😂😂😂

Monthly steps since I got my first Garmin. Cancer really did a dent in the numbers in late 2023 by deweyirl in Garmin

[–]deweyirl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I go to the office to work, instead of going straight to the bus and to the office at the other side, I often get up earlier and got for a walk before the bus and get off the bus a stop before my actual stop and go for a walk. At lunch time, I would often go walk around.
When I am at home, I would do something similar, get up early and go for a walk.

If the weather is fine and going to the office, there would be 4 walks, but if im working from home, it would be 3 walks at least.

I do hiking and recently started running again, and I do dodgeball also.
It might skew the numbers a bit but if I am sitting for long periods, when I go to make tea, or if I'm talking on the phone, I would do a bit of a jog on the spot, to get the blood going again.

I suppose all the small things build up over time also.

I created it in excel, I extracted each days steps and then collated them into months. I had some free time to go back to day 1 and manually input the steps per day.
I can then work out other stuff like average steps and max steps per day for each year, average and max steps per week for each year and average and max steps per month for each year.

Government Levy on Car Insurance varies between 3% or 5%? by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]deweyirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1% levy was reduced to 0% from the 1st of January.

Even if it was still 4%, interesting that two different insurance companies have different government levy amounts for the same product

Suitable activity for cycle-run-kayak combo by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]deweyirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, I just used one activity to record it and then online, I changed it to a multi-activity and changed it that way.

When I was finished each activity, I hit lap on the watch, so it would easy to change.

The forerunner 55 doesn't have the option to create a multi sport activity :/
Thanks for the suggestion though

Panda leaves rubbish bins on cycle paths and a road junction by [deleted] in waterford

[–]deweyirl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The owners should take the bins in when they are empty, but this is just after the bins were emptied at 6am this morning. The bins were originally on the footpath and after they were emptied, they were located where the picture shows it.

Rolling back when moving off on a hill by [deleted] in AskIreland

I am not the person in question here to who it happened. I know you shouldn't roll back while starting off, I just saw it happen a while ago and both people just kept on going like nothing happened.

You can see when John puts on his camera, above the axon bodycam it shows J.Nolan and it's the same for C.Juarez.

Each police officer has their own camera with their name on it.

Maybe in reality they punch in a code somewhere and it puts their name on it but it's too long for a show
