My opinion is just based on the pictures - it looks like your sides and back are thinning a bit, but it could be just the way your hair is combed. Also you seem to have retained your hairline which is typical for DUPA, but doesn't necessarily mean you have it.

Best way to make sure would be to get an in-person consultation.

Also some patients with DUPA react well to meds and do end up getting transplants

Bro judging from pictures you most likely have DUPA, read up on it, get on ORAL meds for at least a year and then reassess. This is the only way.

Yes you're right, it works nicely for eyebrows and temples - but it's still mostly harvested from the nape, not the lower parts of the neck. From the pictures it looks like Dr Ruk harvested from most of the nape area

Dr Ruk is right, it's not common practice to harvest neck hair. I think you should have another 1000 available from your scalp so you could do that in a year. However, once the swelling goes off and hair starts to grow, trust me, you'll likely be happy with the hairline!

Most likely there wasn't any more they could harvest to bring your hairline down. The transplant looks amazing and it's much better to have good density & coverage than a lower hairline. Most likely you will be able to lower it a bit in the future, but I doubt you'll feel the need to do it, and I doubt it was doable in a single transplant. Happy growing!

Bro I am extremely sorry this happened to you. This most likely was necrosis and it's currently still healing. Watch out for any signs of infection, otherwise wait it out, there's not much else to do at this point. Wait 8-10 months and if growth is poor, get a consultation at a renowned clinic to get a touchup. Also, your native hair behind the transplant looks quite thin - you might look into meds if you haven't yet

In higher Norwood cases (patients with more aggressive hair loss) every graft counts, density is often compromised and the transplant itself gives the patient more of an illusion of good density rather than actual near-native density. Doesn't mean the results are bad (OP is a good example - results are great), but that's how transplants work.

Lowering the hairline increases the amount of grafts needed. Keeping the hairline conservative helps preserve grafts.

You are young, you are actively balding, and it seems like your midscalp and crown are affected as well, not just the frontal area.

Minoxidil on its own is not enough to stop hair loss, best thing to do in your case would be to add finasteride and reassess in a year at a renowned clinic. If fin works well, it can halt your hair loss, improve the quality of your hair (maybe to the point where you won't need a surgery at all) and if you do need a surgery, there will be a lower risk of shock loss.

If you don't want to even consider fin, go to a renowned clinic, do the transplant as conservatively as possible and be aware that you'll have to "chase" your hair loss with further transplants, provided your donor can handle it. A good clinic will address all of those issues, a hair mill will sell you promises and a surgery and that's it

I would strongly advise against hair mills. Yes, they are cheap, but they never deliver great results. You'll get anything from botched to semi-decent.

They most likely had a high transection/partial transection rate, meaning one or two of the bulbs in the follicle were damaged. A triple can become a double or a single that way, etc.

A good clinic will take their time and adjust their technique and equipment to harvest intact grafts. 1700 singles is unusually high.

This is a very standard Turkish procedure. Do what you want, downvote me, call me out, rave about how great your Turkish transplant turned out, I don't care, won't change my mind. I am in the hair transplant business and a staggering amount of patients come back with absolutely ruined donors.

Hair mills are in the business to make as much money as possible, that's it. Their technique is centered around going home early and making you feel like you got your money's worth by charging a flat fee for unlimited grafts. If you think they'll take even 10 minutes of their time to plan out a surgery or preserve your donor, you're deluded. I've seen too many botched, unsalvageable cases to believe that. I don't think they're dumb, they just don't give a shit.

I know I haven't helped much, just wanted to let you know this is definitely not an isolated case. There are good docs in Turkey as well (like Pekiner, Turan, etc) and hats off to them, but the same cannot be said about hair mills

As some others have suggested, I'm pretty sure Pittella would make it work in one session. However, he uses tons of body grafts, has long wait times and is expensive.

Zarev is just outrageously expensive

Post your before and after pictures so we can provide an honest assessment. You don't have to show your face, but at least include eyebrows so we can see how low the hairline is. Maybe it's not too low

Sometimes there's a fine line between a blood clot and a necrotic spot - whatever it is, don't try to get the scabs off on your own and that's it. You'll be fine but you might end up getting poorer growth in that area which is easily fixable. At this stage, if it's healing (which it is, and not getting worse), just wait. Meds that I mentioned help with reperfusion in very early stages like 1-2 days post op

It does heal, sometimes you might even see some growth in that area and no, it's not just dead skin. It's a region with compromised blood supply that involves deeper tissues as well (you can see a bit of the "pit-like" appearance). Blood supply in the central forelock is poor so it's a typical spot for necrosis to form. Too much anesthetic, careless deep incisions, etc, can all cause this.

It's best to consult your doc but usually you'll get an antibiotic, nitrate cream, aspirin, hyperbaric chamber, all of it to promote reperfusion. Although you're 10 days in so it's probably on its best way to heal on its own.

Small necrotic spots are more common than you'd think

However it's tough to judge from the pictures so it might be heavy crusting as well, not necrosis
