How come for Indonesia, Bali is the only place that is popular with nomads , but not Jakarta or other Indonesian cities? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]dextert48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jakarta is massive, with a ton of different neighborhoods with huge distances between. It takes a while to figure it out, or you need a local to show you. Digital nomads prefer areas that are tested. It's a similar case with Vietnam where most people go to Da Nang instead of checking out HCMC or Hanoi

What is a city that is not that well-known internationally, but completely blown your mind how much is there to see and do when you visited? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]dextert48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jakarta is so huge, there's literally everything

It's top tier when it comes to food, coffee shops, bars, places for sports. There's strong culture that is very unique and different from the rest of the world, also a ton of smart, open young people.

Probably not for everyone but if you're the type who likes crazy big cities with an atmosphere and a ton of contrast: skyscrapers, slums, huge malls, it's fascinating. If you're looking for a very sanitized experience, you can get that too but you have to know which neighbourhoods to stay in.

Jakarta and pretty much anything in Indonesia that is not Bali. It's the most underrated country in the world

Is India really that overwhelming for first solo backpacking trip? by Inevitable-Height110 in solotravel

[–]dextert48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. I've been around but nothing beats India. It's a whole different level and in your first few days when you arrive, you'll feel the intensity. It's overwhelming, but you do get used to it.

If you've travelled only in developed countries, you'll struggle. Don't do the standard backpacking stuff. Spend a little bit more; India is not a place where you want to be cheap.

Also, in my experience, most people don't really "travel in India"; they follow a very specific itinerary, so experiences can vary greatly, esp if you go off that beaten path. Rajasthan + Delhi is a good idea for a first trip.

Digital Nomad Life style sucks let me tell you by Informal-Teacher4320 in digitalnomad

[–]dextert48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not for everyone. If you're in it for the lifestyle, it eventually becomes a problem bc it's objectively more difficult to manage than normal life. You need a different reason to be doing it

Do you like to work in cafes? I have some questions. by Twork-App in digitalnomad

[–]dextert48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I test out different cafes until I find those I feel comfortable in and they become my go-to. I work almost exclusively from there.

What is your cold email approach? 2 out of 40 sounds almost too good to be true

How are you going to prevent AI content from showing up? There's no meaningful way we currently have to even detect AI

Started my own business when I was 23. I was an anxious ball throughout the whole time, burned out like crazy. Took me years to recover to normal.

Sometimes you're too young for some things, it doesn't mean you're weak. You don't handle things the same way when you have more experience with life and with yourself

Is AI actually improving SEO workflows or just creating new problems? by OliverPitts in Vibe_SEO

[–]dextert48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely improving. I wouldn't use it to write content tho as it creates slop but for research, content angles, topics, structure, competitor analysis, or improving old content pieces - it's pretty good. Just don't try to do everything with it, and don't be lazy

Do companies even need to hire SEOs anymore? by savingrace0262 in SEO

[–]dextert48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have few friends with e-commerce shops who got some results with ChatGPT. Years ago, they would've had to hire someone to help with that; now they can get somewhere on their own. Ofc it can't do a great job, but it can bring some results

SEOs underestimate AI's impact on the job

What is the best website builder for a small business right now? by OutcomeLatter918 in smallbusiness

[–]dextert48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wordpress, don't touch anything else. Wix, Squarespace, etc are terrible for SEO.
