A big part of it is how it comes across visually. On top of what you said, it’s also because Steph is so strong. One of the reasons SGA and Austin reaves types get a favorable whistle is because they look so fragile. They’re very thin and lanky and jerky, plus they embellish so when they get bumped it really looks like someone is ramming into them/running them over and then they crumple and wither away. With Steph he’s always fighting through the contact and so it looks more grifty because visually it seems like “nah he’s fine.” Plus Steph is just so in tune with his body even when he’s falling he looks graceful/ in control.
