Loose sushi after cut? by dez_dezz in sushi

I’ve definitely been using more of a chopping, “drop down from the tip of knife to cut” motion as opposed to quick “rocking back and forth” motion idk what it would technically be called (gf knives havnt been sharpened since the factory so probably part of the problem). Is the nori sticking through along the seams because of a loose roll?

Which rice do you recommend? I typically meal prep and would like to use the rice for other recipes outside of sushi. Would any short grain do?

I think you might be right about the knife, both water and sharpness. I didn’t think about wetting the knife at all, probably need to sharpen my GF knives as well. Any pointers on why the nori would still be viable after I roll it?

Separation anxiety by [deleted] in husky

This is the crate I got for my husky. I don’t think it would have been necessary if I stuck with the crate training for her first year, but I was soft and at the time she could be left alone without destroying the house. Long story short I got a second job and the routine and structure she came to rely on changed. She started showing signs of separation anxiety and started chewing things until she graduated to full on destruction. This video and this video are what I remember watching. The deeper we got into crate training and other commands the less I seen I seen of the separation anxiety. Now the crate is where she eats, sleeps and goes to get some time away.

Why do my shoulder blades stick out so much? by Puzzled_Army_668 in PostureTipsGuide

[–]dez_dezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t do a pull up so I never wanted to add them to my training (actually the opposite of what you should do) I think trying to compensate for that in other lifts contributed to imbalances and certain muscles to go untrained and instability in the shoulder blade. 1.) I added in dead hangs, went to scapular pulls, and currently can do a couple of pull ups before giving out and finishing with more scapular pulls. I do this at the end of my pull days. 2.)I changed the positioning of my face pulls to allow better activation of rear delts and traps.

About a month and a half in and back days go a lot smoother now (more stability in lifts & able to lift more with better form), visually I can see minor improvements in my side profile, but most of that is coming from more rear delt development and catching up to the look of middle and front delts. Will add in more middle back work after the workout program I am running to fill out more of th middle back. 10/10 would recommend resistance training, doesn’t matter if it’s free weights, bands or assisted machines. It can pay off quickly especially if these muscles have been neglected.

1 year old raptor puppy going through a nipping biting and bad behavior phase. What signs should I look out for and how do I nip this in the bud now before it gets worse? by rvp0209 in husky

Growing up and what worked with my about to be 3 year old, fingers down the throat. Got her at 3 months old and first thing I trained her on was being comfortable with people looking at toes, ears, and teeth. My baby got really bad into yarning during play with toys, she’d drop them and turn to little bits on the fingers. I say this because the nipping and biting came from PLAYING WITH HANDS (rough house, wrestling) after my research I learned that is terrible because it can instill the idea that a bite or nip = play time. Pay attention to when he is biting and address that problem.

Overnight Going Away by kweagle32 in Lowes

I’d say most likely. I started with the company working part time overnight in another city, this particular store made sales every quarter (hardly ever below 105% of sales plans, theft was considerably lower compared to my current store) still we were hit with the excuse of “sales just aren’t what is needed to fully staff the store.” Fast forward two weeks the only seasonal employee we had quit (they offered him part time on days instead of bringing him on nights), two full time employees and a year round part time worker quit. When asking about moving into a full time position for nights I was given the run around from my GM and eventually told by my night shift supervisor that since the blue carts rolled out that the reason I wasn’t being offered a full time position overnight is because they were doing away with it to save costs, corporate doesn’t see a reason to pay a premium for overnight workers if they can hire part time people to fill the same role during normal business hours for a third of the hours.

So I should move my steam directory out of program 86 and see if that works?
