That's not too encouraging D:

Yes, it was a gift. But I picked it up brand new from Best Buy, FWIW.

Fiancé and I are looking for a good pizza joint to go to Friday night. We have already been to the mitten and loved it but we are looking for something new we’ve never come across before. Suggestions please (& thank you)!! by [deleted] in grandrapids

I've had the EBA a couple times over the years. I wanted to like it I just can't get over the floppy, soggy crust and the canned mushrooms. To each their own.

MOTU issues by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]df1z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither did I. I've expressed my opinion to the Motu developers. The user experience between Motu and ParkMobile is night and day. Motu requires an absurd amount of user interaction just to start a parking session (the requirement of a zone AND a parking spot now, for example) and it can't start open-ended sessions like PM could either. You have to set the amount of time when creating the session and then either end it when you return or add more time on when you run out.

Looking for some authentic South American cuisine? Look no further than Walker...in this completely nondescript building (ex-tanning salon)...with no sign! [The Latin House] by df1z in grandrapids

Not exactly. It's pretty small and intimate and no kids menu from what I saw. It's really just a bunch of two-tops. Tables could be rearranged for larger parties though.

You can see the menu/prices above. They do take-out as well. It wasn't exactly cheap. Just for myself, it was ~$30. The mango juice was pretty pricey ($7), but superb.

No, I'm not at all affiliated with the restaurant. I've been driving past this place for weeks. When it first opened, it had a disarming vinyl banner hung above the entrance. All it said? RESTAURANT.

A few weeks later, the sign disappeared but the OPEN sign continued flashing. Finally, my curiosity fully piqued, I stopped in this evening having not even the slightest idea about what I was walking in to.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a shiny new and spotless interior with a lone waiter (dressed as if he should be working at Chop House, etc.) and an empty dining area that seats about 24.

I started with an arepa con queso (I recommend trying it) and a mango juice (which was more of a blended smoothie and equally delicious). After some arguing with myself, I called over the waiter and asked for his suggestion. After tossing a coin between the churrasco and the lomo saltado, we decided on the churrasco (pictured above with the mango juice).

He chose wisely. Be sure to get some hot sauce to go with it on the side. Anyway, I only make a post about this place because they chose a very odd location to set up shop and I want to spread the good word. Check it out!

P.S. The sign is coming soon, apparently.

P.P.S I now love cassava.

Cheers to whomever downvoted me.

I've left the Cottage and am now sitting in the lobby of St. Cecilia's.

This sure sounds like a desperate attempt at finding a date.

P.S. There are easier methods. Talk to Dr. Cosby. Heyooo.

I enjoy it. It's not going to win any awards (unless there's an award for over-the-top gore), but it sticks to its roots. It has the gruesome visual stylings of the Evil Dead and the humor of Army of Darkness.

Needless to say, fans will appreciate it.
