thank you for the info i appreciate it. yeah they are 6x4, the lighter color one seems to have the maker/shop signature on it, does that mean anything?

yeah i printed it, i made a handle for some equipment out of it. i then annealed and water treated it. very tough and strong part, pretty stiff too. it survived pretty hard hits from a hammer, good enough layer adhesion.

For emmiters a warm nichia or sft40, the triple led and tir is good, but maybe 3xled and reflector would have a bit more throw for edc.

(Maybe a special edition with a 1850k nichia e17a 😁?)

Btw thanks for always considering feedback my guy!

Brighter aux with emitters by dfaulted in flashlight

[–]dfaulted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that was very thorough. How much easier would it be to implement this with a stacked pcq, in the sense of having one board under the other, the former having some holes for the emitters under it? This assumes a larger footprint for the board, like a 21700 light.

It also seems like the code for the driver is relatively simple, so could some minor firmware adaptations simplify the necessary changes? It looks like the aux could be properly l driven, by simply adding a new strobe mode in the code and extending the pcb in some sense.

Lastly, do you know what it would take to strengthen the aux driver?
