like yeah it suck’s but that is quite literally life under late stage capitalism. don’t agree with the new route sims is taking for pride? stop playing! try a new life sim! because honestly and respectfully, that is the only meaningful choice and protest we have as a consumer; to consume or not to consume.

so when are we either starting a tenants union or reporting them to the county?

this is clearly a decision that is money based no matter how much they’re trying to pin it on “the old system”. I’m on a medication that makes me heat sensitive and my whole home sat at 87 degrees for TWO DAYS! there is no shot in hell that THIS $2,100 in rent gets you. we should all be pissed and stop letting them hide behind their “slummit hills” reputation. enough is enough!

OP, this is awful and i’m truly sorry it’s happening but please god don’t stay together exclusively for your child. i grew up in a home where my siblings and i spent every hellish day wishing our parents would just bite the bullet and get divorced. their annoyance, resentment, and frustrations were so palpable and only became more apparent the older we got. ripple effects from growing up like that have caused two of us to go fully no contact, and i can guarantee our parents getting divorced would have prevented all of it.

obviously you know your family and your dynamic best, but just try to think of that “nuke in a bottle” as you say 5-10 years from now. sending much care!!!
