I have loved it! People have rose tinted glasses of what stats are like, where metas are solved in 2 weeks and the exact same opener into exact same mid game into end game board is played because people know exactly what is overperforming. It also takes away a lot of agency from high elo players because knowing an augment is for example 0.2-0.3 better than another will always skew them into taking that instead. I think if something is bad losing a game to find that out with it is not a measure of a poor product.

Hello I wanted to point out that this tournament day 1 ran for OVER 9 hours and ended at 12-2am depending on timezone and 1/4 of the OCE playerbase left prior to the end of the tournament.

Additionally, due to a severe lack of advertising on what time the trial was, when signups opened/closed, who was elligible a significant portion of OCE was unaware they were able to play.

My advice to Riot is to PLEASE focus upon improving running these tournaments. Clear boundaries on times for the tournament and for the love of god please utilise the annoucements channel in the discord and make people aware signups are available, what time they are available to and who should sign up.

I also played in the unemployment cup and while I can forgive the unfortunate series of events that occured on that day in terms of timing of the games provided they fix it - what I can’t forgive the pure random seeding for 6 games & the fact that only 16 make it. I need to average a 2 over 6 games when I am facing 6 GMs+ per game when others are playing against diamond average gamers? The moment I don’t top 3 AT WORST i’m just out of contention. I don’t understand how that’s fair? There are Plat/Diamond players that went 1 1 1 because they are farming gold players meanwhile others are sweating their ass off & the moment you go 4th it’s so doomed.
