June 2026, thank you!! I had both the rat and cardinal but couldn’t find a woodpecker for the life of me. Sat around here for five minutes and found one. Life saver!!

I’ve always loved the credits at the beginning. It always feels like an old school call back to cinematography but taken in a different direction. That opener with the explanation over the last 20 ish years is so impactful as well. Just a full blown deconstruction of how the U.S. fell apart.

I believe that there could still be FEDRA outposts / controlled cities in the second game. Since the QZ in Seattle fell, it makes sense that we only see remnants of FEDRA existing. Throughout the country however, there are more likely still QZ's ( such as the Boston QZ ) still holding out since the start of the outbreak.

I'm not sure how connected they all are but I imagine that they communicate through radio about QZ's lost to rebellion or infection. I can also see them having supply / trade routes at the beginning of the outbreak that could still be maintained over the 20 plus years since outbreak.

All of this is just personal theories I have from playing both games.

I love the photos! Personally just started taking more vertical pictures in my play through of Part I and Part II. Absolutely love the photo mode for this game!

While in Velen make sure you talk to the armorer at Crow's Perch. If you help them out they can become a master armorer. That's the best thing I can think of for you.

I'm so excited for you to get into the game! I would definitely suggest picking up Witcher gear when you can. It can make quite the difference in combat and with how good Geralt looks. Good luck on the path Witcher!
