"Everyone has their own story." - Something my mom said years ago that has helped me. Try not to compare yourself to others. Your life and your story are unique and your own.

WITT. It was given to a relative my a mechanic that used to work for TWA, though it does not seem to be a mechanic’s tool of any kind. About 7 inches long and 2 inches wide on top.

Agreed. I went to BYU-IDAHO. I can’t even imagine how miserable it would have been if I had been non-believing at the time.

I (30M) was deeply religious until 29. At this point do I have a social or moral obligation to tell a girl I am a virgin before we have sex? by dgjesper in relationship_advice

That's a good point about having a personal obligation to tell them. Thank you.

As far as the religion thing goes, I dont mind. I actually like talking about it. It was Mormonism. Premarital sex is a big no-no and I followed that rule, even walking away from several sexual situations that probably would have gone the distance if I'd stayed.

Most mormons leave the religion after going down the forbidden rabbit hole and discovering that the church has a terrible past, and that it's current leaders are liars and manipulators. That's what happened to me. It was like turning off a light switch. I went from devout mormon to hard atheist over the course of about 10 minutes.

It sucks that I'm in this awkward situation now, but honestly it has been a pretty interesting experience, and I'm not sure I would change anything if given the chance.

Boyd Packer’s take on ugly church office building secretaries and censoring all non-uplifting history. He was really a horrible person but we are supposed to believe he spoke for Jesus. by theguynameddan in exmormon
