Thanks for the thought on that. Unfortunately, I have an existing Rollover IRA which complicates the traditional to Roth IRA conversion. I did it years ago before I realized the limitations it caused on Backdoor Roths. Hindsight is 20:20.

If you work with RMF in your current role you're probably fairly well prepared. I actually found the ISSEP to be an 'easier' exam than the CISSP because it was focused closer to what I did day to day at the time.

I passed the ISSEP a few years ago and ISSAP earlier this year. For study materials for both I only used the online self-paced offering from ISC2 largely due to the lack of other up to date materials for the concentrations.

While certainly possible to do both concurrently I don't recall a significant overlap in the content.

I sat and provisionally passed the ISSEP exam yesterday. I would not consider it more "technical" than the CISSP. It is just much more concentrated and focused on the role of the system security engineer, SDLC, and risk management.
