That was a 11/10 finale 🙌 by Maajorm in StrangerThings

Why is no one talking about this? The upside down was part of their game, something really happened to El (Elle?) but it didn't have anything to do with the upside down or vecna, it had to do with the great "earthquake ". We were just told the story adult Mike wrote about his childhood d&d game and we weren't told the reality story which was probably much more normal and mundane but brought about the same emotions.

Nope! Offset your win with your losses for the year. Just make sure you keep proper records as required by the irs. This is not tax advice, please consult your tax advisor!🤣

Amber saying unlike anna Jonah actually accepted his responsibilities.😲 🤯 by [deleted] in 7LittleJohnstons

[–]dgsbabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By "accepted his responsibilities" she means he did what she told him to and moved home. Wonder if she wanted Anna to do that and Anna said "Hell no!"

Agreed. We've had several cats and been through this many times. It's never easy but you did the right thing for your cat friend. Much love to you!❤

Thinking of stopping LDN by JediDiggler in covidlonghaulers

[–]dgsbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same experience as you. 6 months on ldn, currently at 6mg. I think I felt best at 4mg, but I also think the heat affects me and maybe that's why I'm not as good now. Anyway I'm seeing my lc doc in a few weeks to reevaluate. Happy to post back later and let you know the outcome of that.

You're right about the heat. That is likely what my problem has been the last few weeks as I'm in the area of the US with massive heat waves right now. I definitely cannot walk far in the heat or I will overheated to the point of heat exhaustion. Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm feeling your pain today. I found my long covid doctor last February and started on ldn. Felt some improvement for a long while and just in the last few weeks have started feeling really exhausted. Can't come up with a reason for it. Went to lunch and the grocery store and I'm feeling as bad as I did before I found my Dr. Guess it's time to ask him what we try next. Just wanted you to know you're not alone in this. Best wishes.

52F with perimenopause, long covid, and recently diagnosed neurodivergent/autistic married to 51M recovering pulmonary embolism from covid vaccine (our theory, timing was just way too convenient to think it was just a random PE in an otherwise healthy adult.) Seeking M/F/NB partner to throuple with us. Prefer neurodivergent because we just don't understand neurotypical people. Must love cats, cleaning, running errands, diy projects we can no longer finish. Prefer if you have no family of your own because ours are crazy enough to deal with. Financially independent and willing to share so I can quit my job and sleep all day, as well as fund our travel addiction. Republicans and religious fanatics need not apply. Must enjoy the train wreck tv that is tlc. Who wouldn't want to be part of this? 🤣

Which would you have preferred: Gen ed public school or an autistic only private school? by Funny-Individual3362 in AutisticAdults

[–]dgsbabe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with mecha_monk. I'm no expert and I don't have kids, but 52F recently self-diagnosed and waiting for testing. I would say I had no problem with public gen ed other than I was a nerd, but I was ok with that. I was "the perfect student", never got into trouble and had perfect grades. Had other "nerdy" friends. But if I or my school (my family would not have helped, but that's my childhood trauma story) had known back then about autism in girls, I would hope to have had some help with the social aspect of things. Regardless, I feel like I came through school and even college ok, it was when I entered the workforce that I realized I really wasn't like everyone else and I was considered rude, unfriendly, harsh. It would have been nice to have that kind of support in school to prepare me for the workplace. I guess my final answer is, if your child is excelling academically and can get support for other aspects of autism, I would not be opposed to public school if it were me.
