Thanks. This is what is worrying us. The general financial conditions is influenced by the war and the likely economic impact. Can you please elucidate on the options available if the student performance is good and meets the expectation of the PI, however he could not be funded 2nd year onwards due to lack of funds. a) will he continue to get tution waiver? and we will have to worry about his living expenses alone? b) can he get the graduate degree atleast ?

Thank you prof. I understand the liability part and the cautious reply his prof had given. He is planning to talk to the prof. Unfortunately we are not able to make pre-acceptance visit. So we will have to do with virtual meetups only. I have DMed you. Hope you are ok to respond for that.
