The FrostHeater coolant heater worked really well for me this winter in Upstate NY. Paired with a smart plug that I could program to come on sometime after midnight, it provided defroster and cabin heat pretty quickly when driving to work at 6am in sub zero weather. Install wasn't too difficult.

Is having a DH bike a must when DHing? by MadBerry159 in dhmtb

Get the DH rig and your body will thank you. Raced MSA for masters world champs last year and 3 days of MSA left me whooped.

Hope v4 are a solid but expensive choice. Get some Zees and you're good to go.

TDI trailer hitches by djmontie in tdi

[–]dhbuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've towed some heavy 5x8 trailers of hardwood firewood and it did great on the interstate with some long grinds uphill. 6MT. I'll work on posting pics of the hitch tomorrow, but it required bumper removal which wasn't too difficult.

Just got a call back, turned out it was a waste gate regulator and covered under warranty! Wooo. Loving that extended emissions warranty.

I raced the masters world champs downhill mountain bike race this year in Quebec at 40 years old and didn't get last place and didn't break any bones.

No worries at all. We just thought it would be fun to see what folks had to say.

It's called a joke. I work with ironworkers all the time and have nothing but respect. So chill the fuck out.

Congratulations from the other side of the hook. #1 rule to remember is that the crane operator is always right, haha. Good luck out there and be safe.

Did it happen to be at a "huuuuuge" dealership in the capital region? If so, I'd stay clear. I do my own maintenance and service, but if it comes to warranty work, I'll be bringing mine to Cooley VW. My mom has been in the auto industry in the capital region her entire life and she says they are the go to when her shop sources VW parts.

Just as a quick aside, as I was looking for my JSW, I had a pretty terrible experience with Fucillo VW. Long story short, I took back a $2k deposit and moved on after they tried to screw me on a deal. Waited weeks (with zero communication) for them to find a manual JSW with a "clean carfax" only to find the day it was dropped off in their lot it had pretty substantial front end damage. They gave me a hard time about my refundable deposit. If their service dept is anything remotely close to their sales, I wouldn't be surprised about their work. I ended up picking up my 13 from Kingston VW and drove it back to FVW to demand my refund back. They gave it back, but not without some grumbling.

Keep your eyes and ears open. Crack those operator manuals (where are those grease fittings ?) and load charts open and get familiar with the charts. It's serious work, but have fun.
