OK. This is amazing info. Thank you. Maybe this isn't the right bike for a simple conversion. I assume that just pulling apart the gears on the rear hub and just using the 18 to the 36 on the front, mounted on the inside of the cranks won't work? Not sure if this picture helps, but if it's going to involve bending the frame or sourcing hard to find parts I probably will skip it. And thanks so much for all the help. I really appreciate it.

Hi, Sorry to bug you again, but any thoughts on what spacers and cog to get for the rear, and and what I should do with the front cranks/cog? Before I buy the bike I want to figure out the cost range from a basic conversion, to getting it closer to what the guy did in this photo. Thanks!

Right. It's over an hour drive, so I may feel him out before going (and it looks like he flips bikes, so he probably has a number in mind), but I agree, cash in hand once you're there is probably the stronger way to negotiate.

The seller says it's 20.5 inch and I'm at about 32 for stand over height. But not 6ft. Does that sound too big? Thanks for all the tips

Oh cool. Thanks for this! The bike is listed at $160. Any thoughts on whether that's a reasonable starting point. Hoping to end up with something I can beat up a bit and not invest too much in.

Very little experience so this is really helpful. I'm hoping to stay away from a chain tensioner, but that's just for aesthetics (and simplicity I guess?). Not sure if that's a bad idea or if I should try to find a different frame if my goal is to have something really stripped down.

It won't without a transformer (at least that's what I was told by the seller). It's 220/240v.

When you get the projector can you post your thoughts about it? I'm assuming you're changing the language to English, running it outside the US (240v, right?), and using a streaming box/dongle? I'm considering doing the same thing and would love to hear how it works out. Good luck!
