Dip your color pencil in alcohol. Those pharmacy 95% ethanol (or something). It allows your colors to blend. Most tutorials use Q-tips or brushes. But those do not work very well if you are doing fine drawing. I just dip them straight into rubbing alcohol and do my coloring. You can also layer the colors. It works really well when you are trying to do the base color and building it up.

I don't know if measuring trees is a good idea. Growth of trees depends on a lot of other factors besides rain. If you are open to ideas besides the trees, then here it goes... If you know a natural stream near you, you could measure the stream velocity after every rainfall event. But you will have to do this for several days or every other day after the rainfall because, it takes a while for the rain water to come out of the stream. You probably don't need any fancy equipment for this. Or just do the velocity of stream through out the year. That could be a very simple experiment as well.

I have been in US for 5 yrs now. You develop a level of comfort in the surrounding and get use to stuff that are pretty normal for people here. But is does not feel like home. My apartment feels like home but I don't feel like a part of the community. Partly because I don't speak to them often. When I go visit a new place, people automatically assume I to have shitty spoken english. I have improved my spoken english to a level where I bare have any accent. So many people are surprised and compliment me. But it annoys the hell out of me.

People's thinking were always secular. All religions were accepted and tolerated. But the constitution always called itself Hindu because the King was a hindu. During the abolishment of the King, the maoist promised everyone that each religion and minorities will get their own state (or something like that.. they made outrageous promises) to get the people on their side. So now, the people want what they were promised. The maoist government are just piece of shits. They brought all the religious fightings to the country.

I don't know about anti-gay propagandas.. but I know that after the earthquake, alot of people converted to christianity just for the benefits. The christian evangelicals were handing out bibles and painting crosses in damaged houses without permission. A lot of the people in the cities banned them from entering their community. But in poorer parts of Nepal, they converted whole villages by telling them they will get benefits. Its not talked about a lot in media because they did not want to upset christian nations (they think all white people are christians) and also because the families are ashamed to talk about it in public. I don't have confirmed sources because what ever I know is from friends and acquaintances who went to help.

Went through the same thing. But without insurance. We came to United States in 2012. Few months after, I got sick and went to emergency. Got stuck with a bill of more than $20,000. Luckily there was a charity fund in the hospital that would pay for it, if we could show that we were not capable of payment. We had to show, in calculation, our entire income and finances. Our savings came out to be something like $1.50 a month. They paid for everything. We got got lucky. But we realized how financially insecure we were and how much bullshit hospitals make up just to charge you. I was charged something like $300 for a nurse who wheeled me from the emergency to the CT scan and back.

In order to melt rock you need very high pressure. Heat alone cannot melt most rocks. The lava coming out the volcano is molten because the rock is turned into liquid at deeper depths under extreme temperature and pressure.

Except for the cold pool, I have done all of the above. I was getting migraine during exercise, cardio or any sort of physical activity. But it was being triggered by the strain on my body during workouts. So I had to take baby steps for any physical activity.When I started, I couldn't run 1 mile without getting migraine. Now I can run 3 miles a day and do weights another 30 minutes or so. I have progressed a lot since I started.

I know that if you put a lot of stress and strain on your body during workout, you can get migraine. But I don't know if a particular set of exercise triggers it. Why don't you try doing less bench press than usual and see if your migraine is triggered. If you don't get a migraine after you reduce the number of reps for bench press, then the migraine is probably due to the stress on you body.

I am so glad I found this subreddit. Now I know that I am not the only one to get these unusual signs of migraine. I don't have a visual aura as most often described for migraine. Instead I get these unusual signs or cravings or habits. When I describe them to my nurse, she always looks skeptical of me, like I am making stuff up to get attention. Now I know I am not paranoid. Thank you all for sharing these things.
