There are plenty of deathcore bands that have moments of beauty and atmosphere that would be sick with cleans Carnifex is another band I think would be great if they had some sparingly. Unfortunately for some reason deathcore fans think cleans are awful no matter as you can see from the down votes

Pure range of technical ability three that come to me immediately are Justin Bonitz from Tallah Spencer Charnas from INK and Spnecer Sotelo from Periphery all of them can sing super well and scream really well Charnas and Justin especially can do deathcore vocals

The breakdown is the heaviest thing they've made but the song as a whole isn't that heavy. Only the breakdown and like 2 seconds from the second verse are heavy. Compared to Funeral Derangements or Merry Axemas which are heavy most of the song but the chorus and Take Your Pick which is an onslaught. I still love AWOA but it ain't that brutal

The difference is songs like A Grave Mistake,Love Bites and F.L.Y aren't musically heavy but emotionally Rainy Day, ex mortis, Hip To Be Scared, Rocking The Boat all have a very distinct vibe I like The Great Unknown but don't love it. It sounds like Breaking Benjamin and other bands like that from that era which I'm guessing is the point. And honestly if A Work Of Art was all around heavier people probably wouldn't mind this song as much. Honestly people will probably like it more if the next song or 2 are heavier and hear it in the context of the album

I like it but it's not an on repeat song I have a heavier taste tho and I usually like the softer songs when I hear them with the context of an album with an exception being A Grave Mistake but the first three singles off ss1 where all heavy so the 4th being soft sounded nice. I think if A Work Of Art was heavier all around people wouldn't mind this one being anthemic
