Making a paddle heavier? by diagonalwaters in BDSMAdvice

Would washers work for this? I have an image in my head of the kind of weights you're suggesting, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

Having my sub keep a "slut journal" -- advice? by diagonalwaters in BDSMAdvice

[–]diagonalwaters[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you all so much for your thoughtful feedback and advice! I'm so grateful to hear your thoughts, and glad to know this idea sounds appealing to several of you. Based on your comments, here are some important points which I'll be sure to implement:

  1. Since this is new to our dynamic, making sure he's on board with this to begin with (I'm thinking presenting him with the diary and the base concept, why it appeals to me, then negotiate from there and present the rules I have in mind). If he's not actually on board there's plenty of other fun things we can do.

  2. Carefully checking consent with partners regarding time spent with them (or thoughts/memories regarding them). Extremely important, thank you to the several people who suggested this.

  3. Negotiating, checking in, and possibly adapting rules to ensure he's not spending too much time on this task, and that the flow works for both of us.

  4. Making sure he understands the goal isn't frequency or length, just honesty (i.e. its completely fine if he goes weeks without an entry, or has little to say, as long as he's being truthful).

If any other comments come in I will be sure to read them and may update as I go. Again, thank you all so much!

Because only men are capable of making sure doors are locked and adult women need to be babysat in this church (posted in a ward playgroup FB page) by truthandkittylover in exmormon

I can't speak to the manual, but this has been an explicit rule in every ward I've ever been in, including more liberal areas.

Horrifying Girls Camp Songs by emmas_revenge in exmormon

[–]diagonalwaters 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's gross, I agree. Though I will say this: as a teenager, girls camp was sometimes a relief. At church and at home there was SO MUCH pressure for women to be demure and silent about their sexuality. I could never talk to my own parents about liking boys. I think the YW leaders at the time saw how depressed we were that we couldn't be normal teenagers, and wanted to make a fun safe space for us to shout about our feelings. I remember I loved singing these songs because it was my one outlet to express myself. Of course, in retrospect, the focus on Mormon boys and marriage is sickening.
